This is the first time this had happened to me so I don’t know if it came with the new patch or if it has been around.

On CoF path 2 we got stuck at the part where you run the bombs back to Magg. We were unable to talk to him to initiate the event.

I don’t think we did anything out of the ordinary from normal runs, and Magg was in the spot he usually is where you start the event.

I’ll be sure to try and get some eyes on this to see if they can reproduce it. If you can give us any more details that would be helpful. Did you fail the event once and then try again? Does the event start but he just refuses to take the bombs? If you fail/restart the event, does it fix it?

Did the cinematic kick off where he explains what is going on? And then I believe he says a few lines afterwards. Did those happen?

Thank you, IceCreamGentleman for your assistance. I’ll try to get our QA to try some different things that could break him at that moment, and I’ll check the script during those moments to try and figure out what I can.

I’ve found this bug a few times, it’s been around for a while.

It seems to be (and I could be wrong) that if any party members are still in the prior cutscene (after killing the prison warden) while other member(s) have reached the room where the bombs will appear, then Magg will run to the room without having the next event updated. The game trying to deal with overlapping cutscenes could be messing with the events.

I’ll look into the issue as you described it and try to get our QA on it – great write up and description. Thank you very much.

Hey folks, update on this:

I looked into this, and found the issue. The door that opens up to the next area with the bomb collection event opens up early – it opens during the scene between Seer and the boss. If players go through the door before the event is active to go through to the next area, it will break. So if you don’t kill the boss, or don’t wait for the cinematic to finish with Magg and Seer, then it will certainly break. I have fixed this problem – thank you for helping me identify it!
