A friend of mine, Allumno.4598, was offered GW2 for Christmas by his girlfriend, who bought it while it was on promotion in the GW2 store. He played a bit, then his account was blocked due to “possible unauthorized credit card activity” (Ticket # 121230-000407). The account is already unblocked, but the transaction was voided and he wanted to know if he needed to buy the game again, this time without the discount.
I see that you’ve asked this question in your ticket, and I had best let a CS Agent answer. I believe that we cannot offer promotional pricing outside of the strict hours that it is offered. I’m sorry for that restriction, but it’s built into the billing system and is considered policy by the teams who make those decisions.
