Why can’t I change my password via the launchers “Forgot password” link, etc?
Hi. Can you tell us a bit more? For instance, how exactly is the forgot password feature not working? What was your experience? Did you get an error code or error message? If so, what did it say? Did the link not work? Did it simply not successfully reset the password after it appeared it had been done?
If you can walk us through this situation, we’ll try to duplicate it in-house and make whatever improvements we can to help players.
Our Support Team has been gathering information about password reset and password retrieval issues. We share them with the devs, and it would be very helpful if anyone experiencing issues could submit a ticket to Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They have a short list of questions they may ask you that will help get your issue resolved and will help us assess if there’s a larger issue with this that the team needs to address. Thank you.
It doesn’t help that the support system has a separate kitten logon.
That will change in the future. Someday soon you will not need a support account, and access will be easier. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and requiring you to have 11 different accounts is definitely an area in which we can make a change for the better!
