Guild Wars 2 Spidy: Graphs of the Trade Market
A lot of you are already aware of GW2Spidy, but I thought it deserved a front page highlight. From the website:

This website aims to provide you with graphs of the sale and buy listings of items on the Guild Wars 2 Trade Market. Using this information we can get a better understanding of the economy in Guild Wars 2. It can also prevent you from getting caught in other players monopolizing the Trade Market with sudden spikes in prices.

GuildWarsTrade.com: Trading Post and Gem Data
GuildWarsTrade is another trading site that offers the following features:
  • Supply and demand graphs
  • Tooltips
  • Gem/Silver exchange rate
  • Black market Gold/$ exchange rate
  • Item languages in German, French, and Spanish
  • Website languages in German, French, Spanish, Russian, and simplified Chinese
Gw2BBCode is javascript plugin, which extends capability of GW2DB Tooltip. It converts (on the fly) Guild Wars 2 skill's names (traits, condition & boons) into icons. It can also show tooltip with description over the icon.
All tooltips content comes from GW2DB.

We've got a lot of stuff to highlight, so let's just get down to it!

Helpful Threads
I've been noticing a lot of great threads popping up here on Guru that should be recognized. I've even included some older threads that I feel are still highly relevant! Either way, you'll get some great information out of them. All About the Guild
There are some great guild tools that deserve to be touched upon, especially with release looming over the horizon!

First, there's the Guild Wars 2 Emblem Creator made by Basharic and Tarral. This app is great for those interested in leading a guild and didn't get a chance to fiddle with the emblem creator in-game. Or, you know, those that are jonesing for Guild Wars 2 so much that playing with anything that resembles the game in any fashion will help settle their nerves!

Another great guild resource is the Guild Wars 2 Guild Database created by Darkademic. Guild leaders can add their own guilds and include what server they'll be rolling on, what language the members speak, what their main focus is (all conveniently color-coded to show how casual or hardcore a guild is) and more. Yes, more! You really need to check it out, especially if you're still looking for a guild.

But if apps aren't what you're looking for, here are some articles about guilds that have cropped up recently:Community Art
Before I go and highlight some of the work people have done here on Guru, I'd like to highlight Guild Wars 2 Fan Art, a Twitter account that tweets any and all GW2-themed art it finds on the Web.
  • CKABEH 3BEPOB's updated his/her thread with a new piece - a human thief! There's also a promise of asura, charr and sylvari pieces soon™, too!
  • grey_foxx082 has also updated his/her thread with new artwork recently, specifically a piece on a dragon battle and another with a human guardian and asuran engineer.
  • And if you haven't been keeping up with Dynamic Events by Doctor Overlord, it's a great time to catch up just before release!

Community Videos
Another good way to spend your days before the release of Guild Wars 2 is to learn more about the story that makes the game. There are many great sources, including those found here on Guru, but today we have some amazing lore videos made by Lyssa (you may know him as Wooden Potatoes on YouTube).

tr1age is starting early in the machinima scene with his story entitled I Surrender, a recreation of his very first machinima movie. I can't wait to see what he, and others, create once the game releases! Oh, and you haven't checked out his more recent creation, you really should!

I've been noticing a lot of YouTubers starting to create new content for Guild Wars 2 lately, which is great! In fact, I'd like to highlight one of them today. Following his video on Why You Should Play Guild Wars 2, Tappin has begun a new video series called "GW2 Is Different | Learn to Adapt".

Here's an outstanding remix by placeboing that should get you pumped up to play Guild Wars 2!

And if you're looking for something more informative, Haste has created an excellent video that explains how combos work:

If you've created something - or have seen something - interesting enough to be highlighted on our front page, please send me a PM! Back to Top

The Guild Wars 2 PvP community seems to be growing faster than ever before and to prove that we have found some of the biggest gems for you guys to see!

Community Gem Number One!
WildeHilde from ArenaJunkies released an article featuring two members from the highly successful Team Paradigm. Team Paradigm has had a lot of success during the BWE’s and for one remains undefeated during BWE-2.

Not only is this interview of very high standard but throughout the whole interview the two players leaves you with small pieces of gold in shape of instructions, guides and tips how you will guaranteed become a better PvP player!

Below you can get a little excerpt of the interview and hopefully be teased enough to go and read the whole thing here.

Hellom my name is Kasper Andersen, aka Azshene; I play a guardian in Team Paradigm, and I’ve recently made a PvP movie featuring some of the structured PvP/tournament matches which I’ve recorded during BWE2. I primarily play 2 builds in the movie, my defensive node hold/control build which is used by the Charr, and my versatile build which is used by the human.

The node control build relies on knock backs and area denial effects to get enemies out of nodes long enough for help to arrive or to neutralize points in your favor. Its tankiness makes it ideal for holding out for long amounts of time against physical damage dealers, while still dealing fairly respectable damage, but it’s also quite vulnerable to condition-based damage.

The versatile build is more offensively oriented than the node control one, giving you much more damage, but at the cost of survivability and control. The build still retains some control in the form of blinds and immobilizes. It survives through having high toughness and low recharge on its heal skill, as well as healing from its low recharge meditation. The build is also capable of swapping between ranged and melee, basically it has a bit of everything, hence why I named it the “versatile” build.

Community Gem Number Two!
One of the things I look most forward to is watching tournaments with professional commentators and high quality PvP. Luckily I no longer have to wait!

GuildSource released a Structured Player Versus Player commentary video featuring two highly skilled teams battling it out in a match of Conquest. Not only does it include exceptional pvp footage but also high level commentary! Head over to their youtube channel to check out more videos of some of the most interesting GW2 PvP footage available!

Community Gem Number Three!
Last but not least Infamy Gaming released their first issue of “The Ascalonian Press” which is an online Guild Wars 2 Gaming Magazine. This very professional looking magazine covers everything from PvE to PvP and if doing a great effort in keeping the communities rolling!

Be sure to head over to their website here and give them a shout out for this great magazine and hopefully motivate them to continue making even more!

Below is a little excerpt from their magazine explaining what content they will be focusing on:

Not only will we cover casual play for PvE, sPvP, and WvW along with character builds and general tips for all aforementioned, but we will also cover any competitive side of sPvP as well including top teams/Guilds, tournaments, etc. This magazine will also highlight members of the community, both individuals, Guilds, and websites that look to get their name out there and help the community grow as a whole.

Since there are no official patch notes to go by, GuildSource has created a video on patch changes from the last Beta Weekend Event (BWE).

Original thread content begins below this line. Please do not edit content above the line.
I made this video for you guys! I saw NO good patch notes videos for BWE2, so I made one after having spent about HALF the beta weekend finding the changes.

Let me know what you think! Rip me a new one if you have to. No promise that I won't Ride the Lightning away :D
