Death in PvP

Once you are downed in any PvP mode, do you rally when you knock another player into downed state, or must you defeat them fully?

You must defeat them fully.

Jon: In order to rally in PvE you must kill a monster. In PvP you must defeat a player to rally, so two downed players do indeed get into situations where they are racing to defeat each other.

I believe it's that you need to be involved in defeating them fully since the latest Healing & Death Q&A states that you need not kill a monster to rally, just gain xp from its death.
