So is it true they're ditching instances? Instead, we have a persistent world and *shudders* can't pretend it is a single player game by playing with AI...
I can't say I'll enjoy that... I'm confused Quote:

I imagine the persistent world will be massive with entrances to instances you desire, you have to find your way through with your homies. I expect world PvP and alliance battle(ish) challenges to rule the persistent world, hopefully some nice PvP meetings along the way if desired. |

Im a little sad that we cant get to Elona or Cantha, but as it was stated, maybe through the expansions will we be able to reach them. If you read The Movement of the World, Cantha is completely cutoff by the rise of the Orr. And if what is true about the Deep Sea Dragon somewhere between Istan and Cantha, The Grothmar dragon somewhere in the Crystal Desert and Palawa Joko's undead army laying ruin to Vabbi, Elona maybe be cutoff as well.
The formula that i can see here is Prophecies - Tyria, Factions - Cantha, Nightfall - Elona. Could it be possible that they are going to follow the same storyline as GW1? I mean Guild Wars 2 will be about defeating Zhaitan and the Orr, if that is accomplished, would passage to Cantha be clear enough to cross, in lets say the expansion? And perhaps after defeating whatever dragon in expansion number 1 could be travel to Elona in a 2nd Expansion and so on? Just a theory of mine. |
