As I recall, the picture is question was called "Summon".

Personally, I believe it represents one of the Nightmare Court, or "evil" Sylvari.

"However not all Sylvari are good. The ones who have turned against their own kind are called the Nightmare Court."

EDIT: Unless Konig was talking about another piece of art, possibly from the Art Book, which I have NOT seen.

Hes talking about the male sylvari picture in the artbook that has the autumn theme going - autumn leaves above him and one attached behind his ear with his skin colour being brownish.

Ahhh cool.

Can't wait to get the book.... Male Sylvari!

I assume he just looks similar the female: large eyes, leafy hair? Are his ears pointed?

Pretty much. Pointed ears, spiked hair, purple/blue eyes and weird root-like patterns up his arm and leg. The Autumn leaf almost looked like it was part of his hair.

Yup, that's what I meant. Someone in this forum has it as an avatar somewhere, or did.

Hmm dang yeah until we heard about the race short list I always expected Dwarves to be on there. Dwarf with a gun, it's meant to be... lol

So plant folk outta nowhere and the Dwarves nowhere to be found, seems odder still with their involvement in GWEN, but I guess times change.

Kudos for the new race add and the interesing variations/seasons on it, generally I'm REALLY excited about the title, just my drinkin/gunnin dwarf will be a no-show in this title. I'm sure I'll still have enough to toy with, but have to chime in that I also find its a shame they won't be around in GW2 much at all after our history with them throughout GW1, while a bunch of upstarts (Norn, Asura added in GWEN, Sylvari brand new) kick'em out, lol.

One could argue Dwarves are in enough games already and usually provide challenges for the female side of things as well tho, too

Still, I'll drink a beer for ye!

The whole point of GWEN was to (mostly) remove dwarves from the picture. Dwarves are the one standard fantasy race in GW1, which in my view was one of the weaknesses of the GW1 setting. Everything else is much more original, yet there you go with Tolkien style dwarves.

Agreed.

It was very disappointing to go from Charr to.... Dwarves.

And then this really cool Jungle with lots of creatures back to... Dwarves.

I love Shiverpeak, and think the Norn are a huge improvement (even though they are derivative as well, their individuality really sticks out).

Dwarves > Elves.. so I really liked them in GW1 as a peg to tie it to the large fantasy idea.. I suppose that's just a handful peoples' opinion though.

I like the dwarves. I'd kill to be a stone dwarf. Or just to play as one, they're pretty B.A. in my opinion

Dwarves where great in Prophesies. They played a huge part, but by no means were they over used imo.
