That Snow Leopard looks awesome. Which is why I'll make my female Norn worship Snow Leopard.

About the snow leopard, wasn't it called snow Lynx in some interview or was this just a speculation I saw?

Anyways, I know that Anet have said several times that it's leopard, not lynx, but I just want to post this:

Snow Leopard:

Quote:
generally weighing between 27 and 54 kilograms (60 and 120 lb). Body length ranges from 75 to 130 centimetres (30 to 50 in), with a tail of nearly the same length
The Lynx

Quote:
the largest is the Eurasian Lynx, with average weight 18 to 25 kilograms (40 to 55 lb)
I'm still not saying that the spirit should or is the lynx, I myself like the leopard better

Though, It may look to much like the female charr without horns. But then again, if the Norn forms work like in eotn, we will not see the armor, which we will with the female charr :P.

Aww they're so cute!
And yeah, I think it used to be snow lynx too, but they seem to have changed it into snow leopard or something...

There's some cheetah in the Female Charr's head too.

EN manual. Though the name seemed to have been retconed. Other questionable spirits are Eagle, Owl, Wurm, and Ox/Bison. All five I mentioned before.

My thoughts exactly.

Man the concept art looks excellent, but i think the bear in game could do with a bit of work, like rune markings and such.

I fully agree with you on this one. I would be really nice if Norns keep their armor and weapons on when they transform instead of being naked animal.

That would be a pretty cool idea.

"Snow leopard"s are a lot easier to translate and it sounds nearly the same in several languages, Lynx damn ugly in low polygon models, don't have a tail to speak off etc etc. While they would be a better fit... lore can move aside when it is aesthetics we are talking here.

On thought of aesthetics... Aren't the Norn wearing mainly only leg and hand armor strapped with chains so they can remain in said armor while they partially morph into bears, raves, wolfs etc? as seen on the GWEN promotional and cover art? Sure the in game Norn are going a la naturale with only weapons in their fists, but it doesn't mean GW2 players and npcs will do the same. It would be really annoying to spend a million on Obsidian equivalent in GW2 only to have it appear during form's recharge times.
