Default Setup

MainSystem:
  • CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945
    RAM: 6GBs DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT(WORK) \ BFG Tech BFGRGTX2951792H2OCLE GeForce GTX (Gaming, with college discount it ovly cost me $600)
Cooling System: Single Head Liquid + Air Cooling system from Master Cooler. Air cooling kicks in when CPU temp reaches around 26*C
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit \ FreeBSD \ Ubuntu 64-bit
Mouse: Razer Mamba (Getting Naga when it hits the market!)
    Keyboard: Razer Tarantula
The side fans that came with the case where crappy so, I replaced them with an extra pair I had lying around that came with my car's AMP system. Temp inside the case is steady at 19-22*C. Don't like to OC my system, there is no reason to do so as there are no games or public software that requires my system to run higher then 3.6Ghz.
C'mon I can run all this at a time no problem:
  1. Guild Wars (Location EoTN) at 160FPS
  2. Max 2010 Linked with ZBrush with a 800k Poly Mesh
  3. Visual Studio - C++ Compiling (Google Chrome Huge project)
  4. Fraps Recording GW at 60FPS FULL-SIZE
  5. VLC (Streaming)
Just no need for OC at all whats so ever!
The only time I do is when I run my Render Farm other wise it stays at stock 3.6Ghz.

my xfire

Scroll down to rig. It's in repair as noted in my blog.

Question: Is this a mid-range rig? (just hoping to run gw2, I know we don't know specs I just need opinions on if I should be able to run it)

Might need to upgrade your GPU, but other than that, don't really see a problem.

Cool setups guys!

yeah was going to do that after march break or whenever it became needed.
Was also going to go quad core if I have the cash at that time.

If you read the post, the 30" LCD is the monitor.

My current machine I use for gaming is my iMac. As it gets closer to the release of GW2, I'll build a new gaming rig.
