I asked Krakantas, the author of the article, for the original interview in english. He was very nice and provided it. Thanks to him !!!
here it is :
Quote:
PvE:
How many players will be able to play the biggest dungeons in the game? 8 or 12 like in the first game?
In Guild Wars 2, dungeons are an integral part of the game and can be played by a party with a maximum size of 5 players. We believe that this is an appropriate size for the difficulty of the dungeons we have built.
How is the death of your character going to happen? Similarly to GW, or will this be more complex?
This is something that we are not talking about yet, but it will not be too long before we publish an article about it on the web. Once again, we are doing something a little different with death and resurrection in Guild Wars 2. Keep an eye on the Guild Wars 2 website for more information!
PvP:
Will we be able to duel in Guild Wars 2?
Players will not be able to duel one another in the PvP and World vs World formats.
Shall we expect a complete overhaul of GvG or will it be based on the same elements as in the first Guild Wars (e.g., Guild Lord, flag, NPCs, ...)?
We’ve always maintained that PvP in Guild Wars 2 will remain faithful to the principles and spirit that we laid out in Guild Wars. Of course, there will be significant and meaningful changes, together with familiar concepts carried on from well-known Guild Wars PvP modes. We’ve already provided some details about the exciting new World vs World mode and have described some key aspects of “structured PvP,” but we’re not ready to reveal more quite yet.
Gameplay:
Will there be a class who is better capable to heal its allies? A class called a healer?
Well, I can say that there is no profession called a healer in Guild Wars 2. We will be revealing more professions and their abilities in due time. We can definitely say that certain professions have a greater affinity for supporting and healing allies than others. Again, stay tuned to the official channels for some information about this soon!
Will we be able to walk (instead of running)?
There is currently no walking in Guild Wars 2. Your characters have places to go – they’re running!
Background:
Will the visual appearance and name of some skills change depending on race, while keeping the same effect? This so that there’s some consistency with regards to race culture.
Race has no effect on the skills provided by a profession. Racial skills, however, will often have similar functionality to certain profession skills, while being heavily themed to that race. For example, the norn have racial skills that allow them to shapeshift into certain totem animals.
How important is the Eye of the North in GW2, with regards to its storyline? It seems that it was built by an unknown civilisation in the first Guild Wars, will we learn more in Guild Wars 2?
The Eye of the North still exists when the Guild Wars 2 story begins, several centuries since we last saw it. As to what role it plays in the game, that will be revealed...
Misc:
Can you tell us more on the karma system and the various objects that we can get with the various currencies we’ll be able to get?
We’ll be talking about the exact uses for karma in a future article on our website.
Are you going to reveal a new profession soon? How often do you think you’ll reveal the next professions?
We revealed the warrior class not too long ago and provided a lot of gameplay information along with it. This, along with previous articles, starts to paint a clearer picture of what Guild Wars 2 looks like and how it works. The fans are discussing many details of these systems and have a lot of questions, some of which will be answered in future articles and some of which will be revealed in-game. We are aware that fans are eager to know more about classes and gameplay information and will continue to publish focused articles about various aspects of the game on the Guild Wars 2 website and the ArenaNet blog.
And well ... do you have a date for Guild Wars 2’s release?
Not yet. We are working hard to make sure that Guild Wars 2 will be the best MMO and we want to meet the deservedly high expectations of our fans. So we will be revealing this information on the official website or the ArenaNet blog when we are confident about it. And remember not to trust any information about the release of Guild Wars 2 that is not coming from these two sites!
