Nice work, I really like the texture and her arm. Inspires me to do some fan-art.

Might do that now..

okidoke, I kinda turned the winter sylvari into a nightmare court sylvari, and eventually into something entirely unrelated... XD er, sorry...
Here's the would-be winter/nightmare sylvari anywho, for those interested:

Think I'll give that charr a go, next.
... and try not to get distracted this time... >.>'

Looks a bit like a monk with healing staff. Maybe if you put some snowy trees in the background and turned the shirt to frosty leaves it could look like a bit more like a winter sylvari.

Do you use photoshop?

Thanks C410V1370!

@pradine haha, yeah, I just "might" have taken some inspiration from the Holy Branch..

And yep, I use Photoshop CS and a Wacom tablet.
I could add snow etc, but I'd rather just start on a new piece entirely! So that I will! ^^

That "staff" almost looks like it has enough of a curve to be a Dervish scythe. That'd be an amazing skin for a scythe *hint* submit for next contest Tzu *hint*

And of course, amazing artwork as usual.

Tzu, I really like the first one. The second one isn't to my tastes but is well done.

So if you didn't ask for either, why did you post it here in the first place? It makes no sense if there is not a purpose for the exhibition of your painting here.

How does it not make sense to post simply because you think someone might be interested? I know I've visited topics in forums which have no replies, which share a work of art I'd otherwise never come across, and I've appreciated it greatly. It doesn't matter if a topic gets replies of any nature. It's the idea that someone, may he remain silent, appreciates it.

Of course it doesn't hurt to get replies, be they purely positive or critical, but I had no intention of fishing for neither in this particular place. If I want an ego-boost, I'll go to Deviantart, if I want honest critique, I'll go to the artists over at Nolani (original guru forums). I posted an illustration of a Sylvari in the GW2 forums as I figured it may be of special interests to visitors here. :P

How rather inspiring! You seem to have created a very alluring atmosphere using the soft lighting techniques and the glow that radiates from the Sylvarian. I also really like how you utilized textures to mimic plants.
