So i saw this Guild Wars 2 concept art, and though nothing of it. I just shrugged it off as a Charr without much thought.
However, i just recently came across this concept art from the canceled Guild Wars Utopia. ![]() I'm sure that everyone can see the similarities between both of those; and i'm also sure that everyone can see that those aren't charr. What do you guys think? (sorry about the sizing of the first pic by the way, i was having a hard time with the link) |

Not ANOTHER thread on this... I hope this doesn't get tossed into the lore forum (which a certain mod in this forum seems to think is a dumping ground for out-of-control threads... which is not the case...)
I'll direct you to this:http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum/...taki-t931.html My guess: Corruption by Kralkatorrik, possible a new "melee" Forgotten as well.

It might go against the common thought, but first pic resembles the corrupted Charr at the end of the trailer.
2nd pic looks like a dinosaur, which already made it into EOTN. |

How does that picture look like the corrupted Charr? Differnet number of limbs, the Charr at the end of the trailer has fiery arms and eyes.
Here, for easy comparison: ![]() There is a concept art similar to that charr, which is this one: ![]() In terms of concept art, it's an alteration of this: ![]() Probably changed to look less demonic, and more like a normal Tyrian creature. I think it is either a new creature we haven't seen in GW1 (like Kodans, Quaggans, and the Skritt).

Theres some fur on the first concept art, see the gotee off his chin. There's also hair on the upper part of the charr from the trailer. Adjusted for concept art to in game realization and there ya go.
I think that the first is a corrupted charr, and the one you show now is another corrupted creature. Missed the differing number of limbs. If its not a corrupted creature, its a servant of something (probably a dragon). Point being, its not a significant new race. |
