"Banner improvement, increased attributes that the banners apply; instead of 90 you will have 107 attribute points."

Should be 170, not 107 :)

Yeah it comes across as if they are unsure as to what they are doing, vague answers on top of what seemed like a lack preparation.

It would have been nice to hear this is what we are unhappy with and what we are changing, this is what we are happy with the professions and what we are not happy with.

Them having a couple of point son each class ready to go and the hosts and guests chiming in with their own points on the class and what its lacking or what is op would have been good but it seemed like you guys often had to drag responses out of them.

If they had been a little more prepared it would have allowed more time for better discussion on the classes because that section felt rushed and being a necro rather disappointing, although more specs have been opened up due to bug fixes there are still specs that could use some love(power) and a whole heap of useless utilities a non optimised death shroud.

In summary I think the hosts and guests did pretty well but the devs where disappointing and I'm getting sick of the response soon as I feel they compared to rest of the planet have different understandings of what that word actually means.

As i told u on your stream yesterday 1h prior to starting, you chose your topic wrong.

Exclude PvE content and WvW scale battles from an mmo and that mmo dies faster then it takes u to turn on a SSD ran system. Take out sPvP from a PvE orientated & WvW huge scale battle mmo and nobody would even notice...or best case scenario a handful of ppl will care.

As for the interview itself. Devs totally unprepared and just proves again they know little of what to do with this mmo. Also i am kinda fed up with "soon" answers. Soon this soon that. No good man, if u want my $$ u will do things NOW....things that have been posted on your forums for months now.

Anyway, good interview..i just hope next time u do a detailed interview with topics that actually matter and have an impact on the real gamer-population of this game..which means PvE (everything related to it) and WvW. sPvP is at best 10% of the whole pop of this game. I am fed up with all the sPvP improvements/addons/patches that they made so far in this game ignoring what truly has the potential to bring any kind of money.

Dodging questions like professionals since December 2012.

That aside, it's good to hear they planning to address underused/useless builds. I'm curious as to how they'll do this without inadvertently breaking already powerful ones, seeing as how players have so much freedom in choosing their skills.

May I suggest you read this topic: http://www.guildwars...-not-so-simple/

This explains why we can't just have the luxury of creating PvE/WvW sotg. It is extremely easy to come up with great ideas for new projects; infact we have a lot of projects stashed up that we would love to do here at Guru but for which we simply cannot find the required volunteers to do. Not to mention finding volunteers who are willing to put in 5-10 hours/month and has the technical experience to host a stream and has sufficient knowledge that the community demands, is nearly impossible.

So, please, if you find yourself in a position where you think you can do the job for a WvW or PvE sotg then, then throw me a PM.

Reveal automatically activates on stealth ending, not just on attack; Might apply to Mesmer Stealth.
High damage to compensate lack of boon removal. Might get more boon removal in cost of tuned down damage.

Mug is too powerful; But Mug doesn’t synergize well with the whole ‘stealth game’.

Looking to increase mobility for sets other than the shortbow. Elementalists competes too well with Thief’s mobility where thief should be top mobility profession.

So nerfing stealth, and nerfing burst damage?  Uhhh

More damage against enemies with boons? Are they kidding? Terrible idea. One of the worst they have ever had...will really hurt alot of builds for many professions especially support builds. I know why they are doing it, they want to nerf boon bunker builds, ok cool but doing more damage to enemies wth boons is not the way to do it, all that will do is hurt all the players not even using full bunker builds....it will have side effects on other builds they are not trying to nerf...

Really dissapointed they sound determined to make boons useless which at the moment are one of the only defenses against heavy ninja burst builds, now they are saying they want to give the ninja burst builds more damage against enemies with boons? Have they forgotten the whole reason loads of players shifted toward bunker builds was because the ninja burst builds were just too strong at the start of the game and bunker builds were all most could do to counter them? If they balanced ninja burst builds from the start players would not have shifted towards bunker builds so heavily.

Boon hate  / more damage against boons especially if they don't seperate it from wvw and pve is really going to hurt the game in it's current state.

Also d/d ele especially in WvW right now is completely overpowered and almost impossible to kill. They have too many invul's, stuns, knockdowns, heals while still having crazy crit chance and damage with a crazy amount of stun breakers and mobility or escape skills, plus being able to be invulnerable while using finishing moves....seriously that can't be intended?

Almost everyone I know is using the d/d ele build because it is literally indestructible almost impossible to lose a fight against multiple enemies and with heavy CC and damage. Even if you down them which is very unlikely they still just mist form away to safety.

They are like a thief on crack who had a baby with a guardian right now with almost no trade off's...

Atleast you can counter a thief, even if the fights are annoying, long or boring...stealth...attack...stealth..attack....atleast they have trade off's and can still be killed....d/d ele does not have hardly any trade off's with more cc, heals, invuls and mobility than the thief..

You can take a ton of CC and immobs against an ele and it will not make a difference except make yourself a weaker build, they will still barely take a scratch and continue to burst everyone down.

Favourite quote of the month.

Quote

"I'm going to make a d/d ele alt before they nerf it"

I really hope Anet start splitting Spvp skill changes away from WvW and Pve, they really do need to be seperated completely, I know they have started to do this with some skills but hopefully they do it with all professions and skills eventually. Spvp is not pve and is not WvW, vice versa.

Would it not make more sense to have 3 heads of balance in the game?

Head of Spvp Builds Balance
Head of WvW Builds Balance
Head of PvE Builds Balance

If the changes were spitted  in between Spvp, WvW, and PVE. There will be even less people going to play Spvp

Why would that be?Nerfing a skill in PvE just because it's OP in sPvP doesn't make sense, does it?

No they just need to go GW1 style on the boons/condiitons. Make them more painful and more class-ified. Make more utilities for removal and damage: damage on removal, damage based on stacks etc, damage on refresh. Have to introduce more methods of control and specialization.

They are way too passive and their effects are often too transparent.

i agree with you, however most players want to feel Op and you cannot use a simple logic to understand them. GW2 is splited between skilled players who want to do well in pvp base on skill and gear-farmed players think gear will help them to do well in pvp. Sadly, gear-farmed players are the majority.

very disappointed by karl's answers.

He basically said stuff that everyone knows. "Thief has low hp and mobility" "guardian is boon profession with heavy armor". the hell

Yah im starting to think they have no clue what they are doing, boon hate and mesmers that have skills that can not be body blocked....balance sucked in GW1 and its sucking even harder in GW2...

The boon hate idea is actually a good one for restoring balance between professions.  Right now my only recourse against Bunker guards/ellies is to dog fight them for 4 minutes and hope my side shows up before theirs does.  If they are so dead set on not adding boon stripping or something instead to most professions I am not sure what else they could do.

Also LOL @ Xeph totally calling them on hotjoin Spvp being a mess like a boss.

I like how Ranger and Warrior get less than three minutes of discussion each.
