R.I.P. in peace Queensdale Train.

They also fixed some of the Ridiculous Trait requirements, added two more dailies, and fixed Dredge Fractal. They're also offering old Living Story rewards to those who missed them. Seems to be a good patch overall.

Not bad...gonna miss the Queensdale Train...wonder if certain weapons will be redistributed or just one less place to get them (like the sword from the Bandit Champ).

Overall, looks good...look forward to seeing the new LA layout and the new stuff up in the Bazaar.

I'm disappointed to see the champ train go. It's just one less options for players to make a steady amount of gold. I guess ANet hates farming.

"Play the game the way you want to", unless of course ANet decide that they don't like the way you decide to play the game.

I agree, it's a nice filler until the start of season two ,and a great way to allow the Chinese and new players to get up to speed or some old rewards.

This again.  Notice how they didn't touch the Frostgorge or Kessex trains?  It's because the introduction area needs to serve as an introduction.  It was getting to the point where everyone was made because some new player would break the cycle, as he or she didn't want to follow "the rules."

That specific one doesn't drop. You can simply buy it with the Festival Tokens (that seems to drop quite frequently).

As for drop-rates for the things that drops I got two air-filter mask thingies from 10 of those Festival Boxes.

After spending some time with the Boss Blitz, I'm somewhat confused here:

Anet reintroduces this huge farming-area, yet there are no actual drops from the mobs (except tickets/tokens). So, what exactly is a farm without loot? Do they actually think we previously played this content cause auto-attacking a cluster of mobs is really this awesome? :surprised:

And no, only a final chest reward for killing all 6 bosses really doesn't cut it in my book...

It's not meant to be a farm/free loot area, they posted on the official forums during the crown jubilee that the area's loot was far greater than anticipated.  The new Blitz is meant to be a test for players and practice coordination.  You can easily get the gold reward (chest containing 20 boxes and a lot of festival tokens) within seven minutes if you split up and deal with each boss as a coordinated group.

This version of it places the emphasis on teamwork and a great reward as opposed to mindless fight and forget.

was really looking forward to boss zone in div reach, if it was like last year..
login to find we have to kill 6 champs to get a reward, not 1 reward per champ
like last year, and loot bags which gave mates last year, now give tokens.
honestly after 7 yrs gw1 and almost 2 yrs gw2 i give up.

i can understand train nerfs to a degree in low end area but high end as they
where there almost 18 months then take them away crazy. and events people used
to collect mats for armor replace that with only tokens, i swear they made this game
only to take away any enjoyment u have.

Don't forget that the train gave new players the wrong idea about the game. Most newer players are likely to roll Humans and they go to Queensdale and see everybody just running the Champion Train and they assume that the whole game is about champ training and that there's a champ train in every map. I've seen multiple new people ask in other starter zones and even in lv.15-25 maps "Where's the train in this map?" because all they've done is the Champion Train and never bothered actually leaving Queensdale to explore the rest of the game.

EDIT: As for the new Crown Pavilion, I think it's something that people will get used to over time. You're supposed to split up and fight each boss and not mindlessly zerg each one. I don't like how hard it is to organize though seeing as Crown Pavillion has a map cap of 75 people and most of those 75 people are probably there for the Gauntlet and not for Boss Blitz.

The difference in what was expected to happen based on previous events and what actually did happen is so rotten that I almost felt sick after looking at everything.

Did you really think that they would destroy the economy again after last year?

They could've avoided "destroying the economy" by simply reducing the loot from the pavilion and gold from the gauntlet, rather than removing it outright.

I was quite excited to hear the pavilion was coming back, since it meant having a decent way to farm and catch up on ascended armor. Instead spending an hour in the pavilion got me...a dozen tokens, 15 or so tickets (which ended up getting me another 100 tokens through the gauntlet), and 2 champ boxes. That's pathetic.

What is wrong in the economy from my point of view is that there is uncontrollable influx of gold and minimal material gain. The prices of everything skyroketed since they nerfed every possible farm out there and the game became more grindy than it was at start. I hoped that the pavilion will be another place for T5/6 materials to drop and reduce their price game-wide. All they needed to do was to remove the 200% + Luck buff that the NPCs were giving and maybe remove/reduce the direct gold gains.

No, they just hate farming where the player either has fun or makes money (or both).

Yea... because it is so much fun shouting at new people for (trying) to kill a champion in Queensdale because it "throws off the train"...

Besides, the Frostgorge champ train still exists, as does the somewhat less popular Orr one... It is not like they completely removed any oppertunity to do braindead content in order to make a measily amount of gold...
