Along with the vast assortment of armor set images on the web, GamerDiNG took it upon himself/herself to combine those with several in-game shots from the last BWE into two neat armor set videos.

You can comment on them here:

I found it there : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Armor. Unfortunately, it looks like those posting armor pics on the wiki are more interested in Light armor.

I've found an armor I would love to have, hopefully someone can tell me more about it? I saw female NPC rangers wearing it on the weekend, I'm hoping my female human ranger can wear it too >.<

So it appears that we have seen the dungeon armor sets and the racial armor sets. But is this it? Do not take me wrong, I liked what I saw. But my question is what armor is this, for example? It certainly made it into the game since it is featured in the character creation. Also what about armor sets that you can craft. I guess we will have to wait for the pictures after the release.
So far we have seen:

The three standard sets available at vendors and through the personal story

Crafted armour up to around level 30, since the highest level area we could access was Gendarran Fields and we are therefore missing out on the required higher level crafting mats (1 standard and 2 more advanced crafting sets, 1 of which needed to either be discovered or learned via recipe, and maybe some more)

Karma rewards, I think there are 1 or 2 unique skins known already

The three racial armour tiers

The eight dungeon reward sets
All in all we have discovered at least around 20 unique sets (I'm missing some, for example I don't know where people found the devout armour set and so on), and there's still a lot more to find:

Crafted high level armour, I think the higher we get the more new skins we will discover (right now there's not that much variation and "discovery" in crafting)

Armour sets specific to the three different orders PCs choose (Order of Wispers, Vigil, Durmand Priory)

More Karma rewards, skins dropped in PvE and so on
The set you asked about had so far been considered to belong to the "Shining Blade" and would have therefore made the most sense as a T3 human cultural armour (with the heavy armour T3 set being the Seraph armour and so on), but I guess it got moved somewhere else... Norn mesmers wear the same armour in the CC, right?

I found the crafting Recipe during the Beta. It was actually called the Shadow Set or something, I got it off a Norn Karma Vendor that worked for the Order of Whispers over at Snowden Drifts. The crafting requirements were like 125 Tailoring to make it, since it required higher leveled insignias to make it. I remember that part of that set also can be bought as Seraph Gear in Kessex Peak, but it didn't include the same Helmet.

The recipe is sold by Undercover Agent Tulfar. Had to do a lot of searching to find that article :x.

I'm totally gonna get that armour. Shame it's only masterwork.

It looks a bit goofy on male. I hope it's only because of terrible body choice.

Wait, really? I was thinking the same...just the otherway around. I think it looks awesome on the guy and slightly weird on the girl. :x

Finally, some decent looking leather!

Lvl 80 Human Medium Armor (female) - NOTE BOOTS ARE LVL 35 (80 boots looked horrible)

i like the set except the "underboob" part. i think it's unnecessary, out of place, and/or weird and actually makes it look worse. if they covered that part up as much as the other side, it would look so much better, imho.

The only think that I don't like on the female one is the clipping. Otherwise it looks good in my opinion. As for the male armor, I think it's the chest armor- the dark grey on sides makes the chest look too thin, especially in contrast with the excessively huge gauntlets. The neck is another thing that looks strange. It's too long and thick.

Hehe agreed. I actually put underboob on par with camel toe...it looks unattractive to me, but the armour itself looks like an interesting design.

OH GOD. I remember these pictures. I am so disappointed with the Charr light armor look. They really should've gone for the fancy tuxedo and cape thingy mabob (very Beast [from Beauty & the Beast] looking attire). Poor Charr scholars. q_q
Are you kidding? The Charr racial light armor sets are the best! And Meowlificent is awesome. Now I know what race my elementalist will be.

I love it! It's the most beautiful heavy armor I've ever seen in Guild Wars 2 and it reminds me
Guild Wars Origin Templar armor(not elite, a normal) which I love either, even more the rest armors in gw1.

Does anyone have any information about the twilight arbor heavy armor? I was really lookig forward to the heavy armor skin that the sylvari dungeon merchant was using, but in this beta found the actual purchasable armor to be extremely different.

Here is the heavy armor for those who did not see it:

Has anyone located this armor set anywhere at all or would have any idea where it may be from? It might be too early to see but it is worth a try :)

If someone finds revealing armor that Sylvari men can wear, please let me know :qq:  Particularly heavy-armor, but any is fine!
I want armor that shows their pretty plant skin (otherwise what's the point).

(I've seen the sylvari racial armors already)

It's great to see a male armor having more skin showing then the female one. (look at the arms) i know it's not much of a difference, but still.
