Once again, it's time to hop back on the hype train and get ready for the next Guild Wars 2 beta weekend event! Roughly one month after the first weekend, ArenaNet has announced that players will be able to jump into Tyria at noon PST on June 8th 2012, all the way through Sunday the 10th. Luckily, your characters have not been wiped, which means most of you will be able to experience The Ascalon Catacombs dungeon as well. If you haven't had the chance to pre-purchase yet, head on over to their website and get your key, or be on the lookout for beta key giveaways if you're feeling lucky.
See you all in Tyria!
Sylvari & Asura will not be present in the beta; https://twitter.com/...598410403028993

Just got to make it through a 4 day jubilee weekend now...
These include party movement into overflow servers, chat functionality, key bindings, server stability, performance, and many more that we will detail in the near future.
Huzzah!
I'll be able to team with my brother rather more easily then.

Yes!! Same for me, both of us will be rocking together. I wouldn't have been able to on the 1rst, so this is great news to us.

But if we get the same characters, does that mean we only have to update the existing client?

Seems like not having them deleted means that they didn't make that big a change to the build. Which means that it'll take longer for release.

Is anyone else wondering why we're still able to use the old characters?

Did they say big change had anything to do with deleting characters? Mayby that can be done without delete. Big updates in a live game doesnt delete characters either, so i dont see why to be so negative right away.

'Your existing beta characters have not been deleted, and you will be able to continue right where you left off! This means that enterprising players with characters level 35 or higher will be able to test their mettle against the explorable version of the Ascalonian Catacombs dungeon!'

Interesting. I wonder if AC is the only dungeon available. There was a very curious instance set on an estate in the Beetletun area. Think that was set for level 40 players.

They can completely makeover skills without affecting characters, but it is hard to believe the trait system can be relaunched...
However; it's definitely more player friendly to keep characters, so everyone (who actually made progress - unlike me) won't have to keep replaying the same low level content over & over if they don't want to.

Apparently, "or so" equals 6 weeks.

Ah yes, because it would be much better to not give them enough time to fix reported bugs and just fix a little bit between each BWE so people can whine and attack ArenaNet for not fixing stuff between the events. Right?
