Arenanet is here with a new blog post and some exciting news for people who will be in the next Beta Weekend Event. Players will be able to enjoy new content along with what was already available in the last beta events. What's new, you ask?
  • Asura levels 1-20
  • Sylvari levels 1-20
  • New Guild-Conquest PvP map
  • Two new cities: Rata Sum and Grove

Some videos of Asura areas gameplay on YT has leaked and then locked(for a later to come today article), seems quite attendible.

Media embargos are overrated apparently!

Some french site uploaded a bunch of videos from the blog post but have since taken them down.  Sounds like it'll have some interesting stuff in it when it comes out.

I totally could have waited for the blog post.. thanks massively for ruining my surprise. I don't get how Anet puts up with some of their employees apparently leaking info like that repeatedly.

My thoughts exactly hopefully no embargo was broken although it likely has. I am excited for the blog post about BWE 3 when it comes though.

Apparently now everyone is like well Massively broke it why not us.

They were probably told to wait but didn't anyways.  Massively that is.  For a coordinated info dump.  This would be Massively's fault, not ANet, though given how often people leak their stuff I'd just as well not announce anything to the media outlets.

This coupled with the videos from [url="http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/w9lw5/asura_game_play/"]reddit[/url] showing a guy running around the Asura zones leads me to believe this is true.

Edit: videos have been made private, they were unlisted before.

How exciting!!
However, I'll be on vacation for the final BWE... but no worries, I kinda wanted to savor the Asura & Sylvari for launch.

Plus I think I can hold out for the final month stretch.... I think... :eek:
