Beta Key Contest: Design A Legendary Weapon

Alright, everybody! Here are the 15 winners!

1: Name: The Mindseeker
Weapon Class: Short Bow

Fires ethereal arrows into the skulls of enemies, temporarily trapping them in the veil between life and death.

2: Name: Diminished Shadows

This sword was used by corrupt champions all over Tyria. It hungers for the blood of others and strikes in the shadows. Once the blade is fed and done with his owner, it takes their life, only to be found again by the unwary traveler. The sword is now resides hidden in the armory of the Order of Whispers, only to be used in times of great need.

3: Name: The Haunt of the Mad King

Description: a sword that grants the user amazing power but at the price of becoming insane. Causes users to go around telling bad jokes and demanding what ever they desire. Traces of ripped cloth appear on the character when equipped and gradually cover the entire body as time progresses. User will also develop a strong orange tint of skin color as well.

4: Name: Cynn's Side-Arm

A pistol with the power of the ancient Elementalist Cynn.

Physical Effect: Every shot fired fires a Water, Air, Earth, or Fire projectile out of it, and the weapon model itself has a small aura of Red, Brown, Magenta, and Blue swirling through/around it.

5: Name: Gift of Tyria

Weapon: Scepter

Description:
"A scepter that looks like a beautiful colored flower.
At daylight it slowly blooms open  spreading a magical dust of spores around the user.
At night it slowly closes again emitting a beautiful glowing light."

(Only a few of them were ever found in Tyria. It is said that the flower is a gift of Tyria itself, and can only be found by those who have done great deeds for Tyria.)

6: Name: Manifest Destiny

Description: A weapon that is effectively "invisible" while not in combat, the weapon would manifest itself and materialize as the wielder went through the motion of swinging the "weapon." For example, imagine a warrior charging into combat wielding only a gauntlet (this could be where the weapon's ability is powered from), and as the warrior charges in, he goes through the motion of swinging a weapon, and during this time, the ethereal weapon would materialize and crash right into the enemy. This could provide many fun mechanics, such as a shorter cooldown on weapon switch (would work with the fluff behind this idea), or some really cool looking models. Furthermore, if this were to be a farmable legendary item, which is what ANet has described their legendary weapons to be, this could work for any weapon. The weightlessness provides great function for fighters, whilst the ethereal/mystical aspect of it could be powered through the user's mental capabilities.

7: Name: Ker'Hex and Sassi'Ras

A pair of twin blades, forged by the gods as a bet. Entraped within are 2 of the most powerful lieutenantes of the god's armies: a male demon of pure evil and an untainted female archangel.
The gods created these mighty weapons to see if the 2 beings could understand, or even fall in love, with each other.

As the wielder of the pair, the character would be infused with the knowledge of both beings, as well as be capable of performing good deeds to those less fortunate, or show no pitty nor remorse to his enemies.

8: Name: Black and Blue Rose

Description: These two beautiful and deadly daggers come in an exotic shape. One of them has black blades with blue rose patterns, while the other one has blue blades with black rose patterns. The dagger handles have rose petals of the same colour as the rose patterns on the blades. If you dual wield them together, every swing of these daggers will leave black and blue rose petal trails. Wielding only one of them will not trigger the effect.

10: Name: Gaia's Whip

Type: Dagger

Description: For Sylvari only.  A mystical vine born from the Pale Tree itself.  Deadly yet graceful, this weapon is said to have power that only those who are at peace with the earth can wield.  At the end of the whip is a leaf which acts as a dagger head.  The leaf contains poison from Nightshade that has a chance to immobilize the target.

12: Name: Rotwing's Legacy

Type: Longbow

Description: The ancient bow of the undead dragon Rotwing, imbued with even more power after the rise of Zhaitan. Though it's power is great, it has a price; Only the most powerful and stalwart of heroes can wield it, for its mere touch would fully consume and transform a lesser man into one of the mindless undead. And even for those brave enough to grasp it, Rotwing's essence will still claim what it can, Twisting the whole arm of it's bearer into shadow.

13: Name: Spider Coil Prison

Type: Focus

Description: Metal frame in the shape of a toroid, with Asuran designed handle.  Crystals in the handle/top rumored to contain the essence of an arachnid-style lightning elemental.  Every 10 seconds or so purple (or blue) electric strands appear and quickly spread out over the player's body as if they were long spider legs trying to get good footing to crawl out of the focus.  Electric "legs" can reach any part of the player's body (head to feet) and may even reach out to other players if they are nearby.  Casts flickering light around the player when this occurs.

15: Name: "Soul Eater"

A sword that devours the souls of slain foes. It has 5 levels, and changes colour and form with each.
The process of 'Soul Devouring' is simple, any slain mob or player counts as 1. The number of souls required for each level is up to debate. No stats are added, only its cosmetic appearance is changed.

Example:
Basic Level - The Slumber
Level 1 (50 souls) - The Awakening
Level 2 (200 souls) - The Defiler
Level 3 (500 souls) - The Devourer
Level 4 (1000 souls) - The Reaper
Level 5 (10000 souls) - Final form "Soul Eater"
