Arenanet is here with a new blog post detailing the final BWE changes and this is probably something that everyone who participated in the last two BWEs should read.

Reminder: Beta Info Will Be Deleted
Before this final Beta Weekend Event (and before Guild Wars 2 launches on August 28) we’ll delete all existing beta information. Every beta character and all information or items associated with them will be deleted. However, we will be preserving your beta account’s contact list so you can easily connect with your fellow beta gamers during Headstart Access or after launch.

Keg brawl sounds awesome.... Is it me or does Foefire sound like a Alterac Valley type map or GW1 map.

(Which was clearly received the most negative feedback & requests to fix)
I guess they don't care about fixing the dungeons (or need more time), and they just want to sell the half-a-million free beta keys.

That sounds awesome! Only sad thing is that our characters will no longer be there...
I like that we can already buy gems and will have them at headstart - that way I can purchase my extra-characterslots quicker. I like it!
And I can't wait to try the keg brawl!

...I guess we don't get to test out the level 35 Dungeon.

I doubt that is the case. The most probable reason for a character wipe is to simulate launch-day conditions with all the players starting new characters.

Second was "Why wipe characters if they want lots of people to see the new 17-20 area?"
Ideally, this will be their greatest stress test to date, as they are funneling the vast majority of players into the shared lowbie areas of the Sylvari and Asura, since these races are both the shiny new object and an anticipated release for past beta testers. Well played, ANet!

Characters deleted? That means no new region for me. :'(

Same here, wanted to explore the new added area in the final beta.
Oh well,
I am saving the creation of Sylvari and Asuran after the released day.

You can just reroll a human and gate to Grove or Rata Sum.

I can easily imagine NCSoft execs rubbing their hands together and laughing maniacally at the outlook of selling free beta keys. MUAahahaha!
You need to check your blue cheese intake, buddy, it might have messed with your frontal lobe.
