ArenaNet has just announced on their official blog that those ordering the Guild Wars 2 Collector's Edition will receive a $5 off coupon for the Original Game Soundtrack.
Quote
Each album features hours of evocative in-game music and is personally signed by Jeremy Soule himself (while supplies last).

The CE contains the "best of" soundtrack as far as I know, they never promised to give us the full soundtrack.

You knew what was in the Collectors Edition when they announced it - a "Best of" from the soundtrack. So 1 CD with a selection of the soundtrack. It was clear that they would sell the complete soundtrack seperately. (At least to me...)
I'm a bit annoyed that the announcement of the coupon being in the CE came so late, but it's ok- $5 is not that much and I wouldn't have wanted to wait anyway...
I'll post the coupon code here or on the other CD thread when I get it and someone will be happy about it I hope. So the code will not be wasted^^

While I certainly wouldn't complain if the CE came with a 4-disc soundtrack, I didn't expect it to. (especially since the CD was called "Best of GW2 Soundtrack").
I also expected that the Soundtrack would be available on Direct Song, as the other CE soundtracks were.
At least it appears you can only get the "Best of GW2 Soundtrack" in the CE. So, we have an exclusive item... sort of.
We also get a unique 100+ page hardcover "Making of Guild Wars 2" book (easily worth $20).
And, of course, the Rytlock Figurine.
The Physical Collector's Edition is just that: a physical CE. If you don't care for the figurine or the artbook (or the "best of" soundtrack), there was no reason to buy it.

The CE is a much steeper price entirely because of the rytlock figure.

Look on the upside... you might get an autographed copy! I'm gonna wait for the coupon, but I realize there will be no signed copies by then.
"PLEASE NOTE, all orders placed will be personally autographed by composer Jeremy Soule while supplies last."

Side note, I do want the book, and the figure as well. All I ever buy is collectors editions. Being pretty much a buyer of only collectors editions I feel as though the content of this CE is lacking when considering the price and comparing it to other CEs. The Rytlock statue has to be WETA workshop quality or something to justify the cost.
Maybe instead of a 5$ coupon for the CD they can give a 5$ coupon for gems in the gem store? I would go for that.

Hmmm, now you are talking! Especially for those who already ordered the Complete Soundtrack before the announcement was made....

Exactly what I'm thinking!
I cant wait to listen to Jeremy Soule's wonderful music for GW2, I bought it the second it popped up. I own copies of pretty much all his music. It would be a nice gesture to those of us who have no need for a 5$ coupon for a cd we already own. Plus I wanted a signed copy (waiting till after I pick up my CE for the coupon probably wouldn't have netted me one). If he really does sign them all by hand, he is going to have a really sore hand after all those sigs. I've got two other soundtracks signed by him. The Skyrim signature looks especially cool signed in thick gold ink.

You can purchase from Directsong from outside the US so most likely it won't be "US only".

Main reason I got the CE was for the "Making of" book anyway.

Good timing. They will have reaped the full price off impulse buyers who own the CE, and the rest who were on the edge now have yet another reason to throw them money.

The voucher comes with your CE, so when you get your physical items it'll be there.

It would be nice of them to let us convert that coupon into gems though. At least then it would get used.
