Arenanet is here with a new blog detailing some important WvW info along with the list of worlds for the final BWE. Quote
To help account for the rapidly fluctuating populations at launch, we’ll initially use the 24-hour match format until world populations settle down a bit and we are able to get some data that will help avoid having two-week-long extreme mismatches. Once most worlds are reliably matching up against worlds of similar strength, we will switch over to playing the two-week-duration match cycles.
Here is the list of servers for this Beta Weekend Event behind the spoiler tags.
Read the rest of the blog post here.
With the Asura and Sylvari being playable this weekend, we also have a host of videos and information from media outlets that people can check out for both races.
First we have the hour and a quarter video of the Asura from Gamespot and we have Jeux Online who had a hands on with the Asura along with plenty of screenshots and even a video for people to check out.
With the Sylvari being the newest race, we had quite a few videos about the Sylvari, their starting areas and the Grove. First off, we had Jeux Online again with information and plenty of videos for the Sylvari including character creation, a tour of the Grove and a Dynamic Event.
We also had IGN with a 50 minute Sylvari gameplay video and a 1 hour, 10 minute video from Gamespot for Sylvari fans to enjoy while they are waiting for Friday to come.

I, very selfishly, invite the RP-community over to Gandara, since it's a nicely populated realm and I'd love to have the option of RP'ing every now and then!

Now I must pick a new server.
Bouncing between
- Isle of Janthir
- Sorrow's Furnace (Sounds too similar to Sea of Sorrow's though)
- Stormbluff Isle
and
- Yak's Bend.......

I was also on Petrified Forest (purely by chance - I'd never heard it was an unofficial RP server), so shall have to pick out a new one with my brother.

As the EU RP community over at 2RP had decided to pick a server starting with P for the Beta events, at the moment the next logical choice for the Beta looks to be Piken Square, with Ruins of Surmia as an overflow. That's the server that a lot of us will be congregating on, at least.

Makes sense considering the hype around this game means they need as smooth a launch as possible.

Very nice indeed! But why less server for na??
[/quote]
I'd say it's because of the need for specific-language servers, whereas NA can be all the same language.

Language barriers my friend.
North America really only has one language (of course there is a bit of Spanish and French, but not nearly enough to give NA compelte servers focusing on those languages) Europe on the other hand needs more servers for the German speakers, French speakers and of course English speakers.

They made too many servers during BWE2 so that made 60% of servers have low population which made WvW imbalanced.
So they focused their server racks to handle fewer server choices, which in turn, makes it for stronger, higher populated servers which would help balance WvW. If you were on a low populated world vs a high populated world you would get over zerged. I am very interested in how this plays out this BWE
