First off, in a blog post, they mention that Guild Wars Platinum edition is on sale for $19.99 which is a great price for a game you could possibly get hundreds of hours out of before Guild Wars 2 is even out.

I get it, it makes sense because there's a bunch of people out there that got a chance to try GW2 for the first time during the BWE3, but the problem is that a month won't be enough to get the rewards.

A month would be enough to at least get up to 10-20 points if you start on it now and focus on getting points. Yeah, 30 points would require some good dedication and research if you wanna do within 1 month.

you cant get those points in gw2?

No, the HoM is a way for those that have played GW1 to pretty much show off their brand loyalty.

Its rather strange a Non Human would have a Human ancestor to inherit items from, the idea of just discovering the locale fits better.

Guess it will have to wait until Release.
But is this the first time they've talked about the HoM rewards being skins that can go over ANY item?!?

Also.. the HoM was meant for old-timer GW fans, not for bandwagon jumpers...
Regarding the items presented: I would have preferred if they would have not shown only Soldier stuff, but some scholar/adventurer as well. The chick was cute though, my necro will have it for sure at his side.

They already said back then that you will be able to put HoM skins on any item without the use of transmutation stone, so it's not really a "first time", with that in mind, the fact that they are actual weapons or just skins, wouldn't cause any issues in the long-term.

I'd kinda hoped we could discover the Hall of Monuments ruin within GW2 and see the statues and banners.

I must be the only one wanting Norgu Norgusson, a Norn descended from Norgu and a very large Norn maiden then....

Ahh, I missed that somehow. I knew there would be a way to continue to use the HoM rewards, I just didn't know they had finalized it already.
