With the turn of the month, it is now officially the month Guild Wars 2 will finally launch. To add to the excitement, ArenaNet has both redesigned their official website as well as announced the exact time everybody will be able to jump into Tyria for the first time. They will not be staggering the start time, so everybody around the world will be able to log in simultaneously at 12:01 A.M PST on August 25th. If timezones aren't your thing, then check out this event timer to see what time the head-start will begin in your specific area.
For a fair few of you the wait for Guild Wars 2 has been a long and gruesome road that seemed to have no end in sight. Now, with official launch now less than a month away, are you ready for it?

Which means 2am for me...ahh well, I'll stay up long enough to make my characters and then start actually playing in the morning

If it's PDT (which most likely is) that means 9 AM CEST (7 AM UK time) for those wondering about Europe.

Perfect timing for me that is.

According to https://www.guildwars2.com/en/ which has a countdown timer, it would start at Noon EST, or 9am PST.

That times uses not just the wrong time, but it uses your local time. The timer adjusts to your computer. Some people have reached the launch time by changing their time and date settings.
The source is their facebook. If you don´t have facebook, take my word for it.

The countdown on the site is broken. It shows noon no matter the time zone. The source is in the OP.

It's currently british summer time, making it 8AM UK time (we're not in GMT at the moment!)

The official FB and Twitter is the source, as stated by the OP. I think the site has not been updated to the actual time yet, it was just a teaser before.

The times on that website were calculated using the time zone given by Arenanet. If it´s wrong, please change it. XD

I'll come home from work, take a about 4 hour nap while the client updates and be up ready to roll at midnight.

Pretty much this. I'm only an hour ahead of PST so not too bad.

For great game makers, they really need a better website.

It was only implemented yesterday, give it some time!
