Coming Soon: Guild Wars 2 Halloween Diorama Contest!
Quote
Halloween is coming! It’s our favorite time of year, so in addition to the in-game madness that we can’t tell you about quite yet, we’re celebrating Halloween with a special arts and craft contest that we like to call the Guild Wars 2 Halloween Diorama Contest.
What is a diorama? Put simply, a diorama is a miniature three-dimensional model that depicts a scene through the use of miniature figures, props, and scenery. This is an example of a diorama from a previous contest we ran for the original Guild Wars.
This year we want you to put your imagination and craft skills to work by creating a diorama that combines two of our favorite things: Halloween with Guild Wars 2!
We’ll have a wide range of prizes, including cool Guild Wars 2 branded peripherals from SteelSeries, graphics cards from NVIDIA, a signed Making of Guild Wars 2 book, and more!
So get started on your diorama, and we’ll be following up soon with additional information and details on how you can enter.

I was worried because it is so soon after launch, but I'm sure GW1 will not be let down.
I fully expect the Mad King in Lion's Arch.
I'm hoping for a Nightmare Before Christmas homage where he pops out of the mystic forge.

Also, still very happy to see that they will also be running the contests for the community. Always get to see some really cool creations from the community.

You remember what it was like trying to get into the game at headstart/launch?
That's what it will be like when everybody tries to pile into the game for Halloween...

Not a way to make up for the horribly run screen shot contest, or the slick live action video that left almost everyone scratching their heads and trying to forget that Arenanet wasted their advertising budget on it. It just feels like someone is just completely out of touch with the fan base and real people in general.
Love, love, love the game and I think the Community Managers are all cool people. Also had some good luck with the CSRs. However, for me anyway, the entire marketing element seems to be stuck in some Bizzaro Land space/time vortex of madness. Perhaps the Mad King himself is at the helm?
Looking forward to the in game event though, while hoping the marketing team has absolutely nothing to do with it! ;P
