Groups. They are the double-edged sword that we all need to push through the dungeons in Tyria, but sometimes finding a group can be harder than the dungeon itself. That is where gw2lfg comes into play. This handy little website allows you to set up a party listing that lets players on different servers know you would like to team up. You can either set up your own party listing, or focus the search parameters to a specific dungeon path. Listings are also sorted by the newest "lfg" posting, so you don't have to worry about mistaking day old posts for a current request. Remember that dungeons are cross-server, but region locked. North American servers cannot party with European servers.
Now here's where you all come into play. A website like this can only improve with visibility. Tell your friends, your guildies, tweet, retweet, even pass the word along to the next stranger you meet on the bus. Word of mouth is a powerful weapon. Show no mercy.

Currently, 14 of 307 entries on the board are for story mode - and of those, four are dupes from the same guy, and one is an idiot who selected CoE Story but put "LF2M FotM 5. No Magic Find. Ensure you're on an NA server" in the description.
So 10 out of 300+ groups. GW2 is basically at the point now where if you didn't start playing at release, you're unlikely to ever run a dungeon (other than Fractals) until ArenaNet finally crack and add a proper dungeonfinder.

Sadly, a glance at GW2LFG shows just how screwed you are if you're a new player looking to do story modes to unlock explorables.

Do you even read the wiki?

Few weeks ago, while lvling some alts, we thought with firends "let's do some story modes" and we found ppl to do them in less than 10-15 minutes.. so it may not be an instant play, but still you can do it. Same goes for explorable modes, so i think you just have bad luck or too lazy to ask around and be patient.

People are not actively looking to do those dungeons, because they reward shit.
But if you're looking for a party in LA, or just ask guildies/friends you can very easely get a group for it.
And I don't know if it's good the site gets much publicity.
At the start only very motivated people used the site, which ensured if you looked for a party for Arah it were all competent people, that is changing already now.. :/
Last week I joined a "experienced AC team, needs 1000+ tears", I pinged my full armor set, weapons and gift of ascalon, then mid run they didn't know how to dodge Kholer..

Being on a EU server now, you notice it's a lot less known than that of the NA part. So I've been trying to do my part here as well.
The more people that know about this site, the faster groups will get formed. Spread the good word!

Actually this article seriously degraded experience of every one who use it. Let me explain this web site is only shared withpeople who are interested in game deeply inaf to stumble on it, and because of that quality of players in your PuG group is vastly superior than random people in map chat making dungeon runs better for every one who use site. This kind of exposure will bring lot more people in lowering overall quality. If you think I am wrong when I say this site is made not to be easily funded ask you self one question why is not even Indexed on Google? there is no way to find it except of entering website name in address bar.

Anyway, I'm glad there are some enterprising community folks that made this. In lieu of something in game, people really need to spread word of this site as I doubt a whole lot know about it.
