ArenaNet's starting the new year with a sale! From January 4th to the 6th, you can buy discounted gem store items in-game.

To celebrate the dawn of a new year in Tyria, we’re chopping prices in the Gem Store for three days from January 4-6! During each day of the sale, we’ll feature three different items on sale at drastically reduced prices! All sales begin at 12 AM Pacific and last for 24 hours.

I wonder when name changers are coming. It would be really odd to change my male character to female and have a male name.

I'd buy another new char slot but not sure if more professions will come out in future. I already have all 8

Dump your gem and gold reserves on these new deals!  We need you to be gold/gem-poor for when the January stuff comes out!  It's not a closed system, people!  Stop hoarding for the January update!

There's at least a decent chance that if an expansion brings out new races, it'll come bundled with new slots so people with full slots don't feel like they're being pushed to buy or not get the benefit of the new race.

I just bought a BL salvage kit 2 days ago for 300 gems.  Wish I would've known this item was gonna go on sale.
