As some of you may know, several server-specific community websites started popping up shortly after the game's launch in late August of last year. With in-game server switches limited to once every seven days, the idea of getting to know who you are able to play with is essential to a successful community. Below you can find a collection of both North American and European server websites, so find yours and check 'em out.
If you don't see your server, then now might be the perfect time to get one started up. Also, big thanks to Thuley for suggesting this highlight and fishing for the links!

It is time for our second round of Guru's State of the Game! A place where the most experienced players can have genuine and constructive discussion with equal and like-minded people, all in a serious environment.
Where and when?
State of the Game aims to be a monthly stream featuring only the most competitive teams in an hour long discussion about the current state of the game. The second event is scheduled to go live January 4th at 8 PM. GMT (12 PM. PST) on the own3d.tv/gw2guru channel.
Who will be attending?
After feedback from our previous show we have decided to cut down the amount of attending people to just three people. This way we can have a more genuine discussion where every player will get an opportunity to say something. Although we will not be featuring an ArenaNet developer for this show I promise you that they will be making an appearance in the future!
Date: Jan 4th, 2013.
Time: Show will start at 12.PM PST - 8.PM GMT
Duration: Roughly an hour, depending on how the conversation is going.
Lineup: Javasocute, Vain, Xeph
If you missed our last show here is a chance to review it: Click Here!
And if you feel the need to get in touch with us for the show feel free to send me a PM on the forum or send me an email at [email protected] Back to Top
Groups. They are the double-edged sword that we all need to push through the dungeons in Tyria, but sometimes finding a group can be harder than the dungeon itself. That is where gw2lfg comes into play. This handy little website allows you to set up a party listing that lets players on different servers know you would like to team up. You can either set up your own party listing, or focus the search parameters to a specific dungeon path. Listings are also sorted by the newest "lfg" posting, so you don't have to worry about mistaking day old posts for a current request. Remember that dungeons are cross-server, but region locked. North American servers cannot party with European servers.
Now here's where you all come into play. A website like this can only improve with visibility. Tell your friends, your guildies, tweet, retweet, even pass the word along to the next stranger you meet on the bus. Word of mouth is a powerful weapon. Show no mercy. Back to Top

Tyria is a big, dangerous place – but fear not! IGN’s Guild Wars 2 app has the maps, dungeon guides and expert tutorials to help get you from Level 1 to Level 80.
It's no secret the Guild Wars 2 community has some unbelievable talent flowing through its veins, and with the holiday season in full swing it's the perfect time to show off completed Wintersday advent calendar. Each day features a Wintersday themed piece of art submitted directly from users within the community here on Guru and on GWOnline. After you've checked out the calendar, be sure to head over to original thread in the Library of Whispers to let everybody know which one is your favorite!
Who knows? We might be seeing this again next year.
