Whew, what an amazing year it has been! We've seen a lot of progress on Guild Wars 2 as well as new content for Guild Wars itself. For our last issue of the year we were hoping to have it done before Christmas, but even we can not combat the holidays. One thing is sure, we're going to end the year with a bang, and we wish all of you a happy and great New Year!

We managed to get the last interview with ArenaNet's Game Designer and RPG legend Jeff Grubb on Guild Wars 2. Next to that we got lore on Wintersday, the Shiverpeaks, the Dwarves, and Grenth. Finally, we return with our holiday fashion, a talk with the king of the snowmen Daniel Frozenwind, a new title hunters article, and Izari covers the ins and outs on what it means to be a Guild Master. We obviously have a lot more for you to read, including several articles from our new team members which you can find a small introduction inside the magazine as well!

So what are you waiting for? Get reading!

Woo! I am quite excited to read this one, as the Shiverpeaks are my 2nd favorite explorable place, right after the Maguuma Jungle xD

You'll notice a bit of outdated content (cough, rudi's quest, cough) but due to the holidays we were unable to make the deadline we first had in place. Nevertheless, I hope you'll all enjoy what's inside!

Also, sorry for the filesize, we REALLY need to take a look at how to make it smaller for next issues.

Tengu race in an expansion = more likely?

Yup, my theory about the Dominion of Winds is that it's a flying city. Since it's not available at release, it's even more likely that they might release it as the starter-town for the Tengu..

Yes, my question about the Great Dwarf is in that interview! xD Did that happen on purpose or is that just coincidence?

Both. Konig and I (maybe Arghore as well) selected some questions, then Dutch used a program to pick 10 questions "by chance." Some of these were changed, because they were answered in the meantime. (And yeah, we added one more bonus question to the list, but that wasn't the GD one. ;))

I believe your question was present in both of our lists.

Awesome
Quite honestly I didn't expect my question to be in the magazine. Guess I was lucky. :D

You sure? It's a big file size so it might take a while?

Also, some of the questions for the interview were indeed from Konig/Thalador, I believe they took a few from a list they already had made before..

I click the 'Download' link, it opens a new white tab that's loading something but doesn't go anywhere from there.

That's correct, you've got to wait a very long time before it's actually loaded. Probably it states: X mb from TotalX mb, and sticks at a certain number?

Because I've got the same issue, you just need to let the browser download the pdf, and yeah, it takes probably over 4 minuts to do so.

i agree on that, since we cant reach it yet and with jeff said a bit further

We are not revealing what has become of the Bloodstones yet, but they may
have an influence in future expansions.

a tengu city at a area we cannot reach yet and with that comment of jeff, my believe that the tengu will be playable in a expansion only rises

Hmm, how long have you kept it opened? I really want to do something on the size of the file, but we either have to loose the quality of the images, or drop the clickable text in order to do that.

Weirdly, it wasn't downloading to my hard drive, but instead it opened with Google Chrome. Took a while (~10mins), but it's here :D

Good read, but i'm really interesting in what they mean by Dominion of Winds and Tengu, as well as the Bloodstone. Man as much as i am towards Anet and how they handle stuff, i still think Gw2 is going to be a Great game.

Seconded, also very pleased. I wonder if the Tengu would end up being the fastest underwater swimmers because of their wings?
However Anet might very well make all races equal swimmers. :)

I would think they'd be the slowest due to the feathers - all the riffles (w/e they're called) of the wings catching on the water, moreso than fur or hair (also, they don't have wings).

But mechanically, I doubt there would be a difference.

Unless tengu were made into the best at flying.

I thought that was Divinity's Reach concept art. I guess I thought wrong! :D
I'm loving being wrong right now~!

And Konig, if they are best at flying, then Guild Wars 2 is going to become one of the best games ever! :o
