This is the news source I was waiting for :D

A strong analysis, Rubi. I also love how you point back to the roots of GW 1 for several of the Guardian's mechanics. :)

I definitely agree with much of your insight. Guardian sounds like a profession that will require quite a bit of overall awareness.

Good article. It seems we had very similar thoughts. :) Very cleanly written, if I may say in utmost complements.

Wonder if I should pimp mine too. :P

Done <3.

Nice article, though. Seems like this class will have you keeping your environment in check even more than the others do,...

I always enjoy your columns, Rubi, and this one is no exception. I also liked the connections you made to the professions in GW 1.

Thanks, you guys. It was really fascinating to me to read about the guardian and see all of these echoes of classes that we know now.

Oh man, I'm going to be that dork in GW2 sitting around the Durmand Priory archives, muttering to myself as I look for a clear connection between rit spirits and the guardian's summoned hammer.

There was an interesting parallel between the guardian and the necromancer reveals, wasn't there? Though there was no preemptive video hacking this time lol

There really was. The method of the reveals has changed over time and it's really caught my attention. I have to say I sort of like being surprised and I worry that the thrill of "opening the present" has fallen by the wayside.

Great read. The Guardian is really showing off how skills are so visually oriented as opposed to looking at skill icons on your screen to see what is going on. Sure, there were a lot of skills in GW1 that you knew exactly what was being cast, but they have done an extremely good job of visually conveying what a skill is in battle.

I am really agreeing with the point(s) made that the Guardian will (presumably) be a more complicated profession to play, or at least have a higher learning curve to play well . I personally would prefer Necro for a supporting role, but I can see the Guardian having a large following in GW2 as well. :)

These articles need to stop calling Guardian new. A profession which combines professions from GW1 is not new.

No, it actually is. A mix is new.
