Every class has something like that.  Warrior just has it easier because his control is really just knock down > burst damage.  And everyone has to keep their health up, that's a given.  Compared to managing illusions, toolkits, or initiative the warrior  has it pretty easy.  That's the way ANet has stated it's supposed to be so don't bother them about it.

LOL I got some pretty interesting results here....
First of all, my favorite GW1 professions, in PvE: Necro (followed by sin then rit). in PvP: Ele (followed by mes)

Result from quiz1: 88% Engi, 75% Mes/Necro
Result from quiz2: 100% Thief, 83% Ele/Engi/Mes/Necro/Ranger (lol wut?)
Result from quiz3: Mesmer, then Ele>Thief>Necro>Engi>Ranger

So if I read these results right, out of 300 points I'm like:
250 Mes, 228 Necro, 221 Ele, 220 Thief, 206 Engi

Not too shabby. This actually corresponds relatively well to the first 5 I was planing to roll, too

i played a lot of games in my life up to now, but never had such a hard time to decide which (in this case) profession to choose...

the quiz excluded at least one profession, maybe thats a step into the right direction

hey.. is there a poll or something like that that shows what classes the community is playing most and least ?? i thought i would play the elementarist, but now that i tried several classes out somehow the ele is really bad doesn't suite me.. i don'T like to change the attunements because it makes the class much harder to play..

therefore my whole plan for release changed and now i don'T know what to play.. would be very cool if such a poll existed because there were enough people that actually played one class higher right ?! i'm not sure what will be most fun because a class can change extremely and a fantastic class in the beginning can get the biggest shit ever and the opposite..

now in this bwe i liked the thief most, followed by the ranger and necro..

if such a poll exists, please can someone give me the link ? i wasn't able to find something

the quiz definitely isn't right (at least for me ^^) because i played a thief now up to lvl 5 and it is fantastic... it plays very smooth and does extremely much damage.

now i honesty don'T know anymore what to play as the first char in the final -.-

I know I'm a caster, I'm always a caster, and the guides just reinforced that knowledge (always ele in the lead with a tie for second between mesmer and necro) so kudos to the guide.  And coincidentally, I'll be maining an Ele and a Mesmer. (saying my mes or ele is an alt isn't the right word).

nice guide , had fun reading it!  i got elementalist on 2 of the 3 quizes and i got it as second on the third =P i always play as the mage so. if i was 100% sure i was going for ele now i am 110% =P great quizes!

You should add that you can make a level 1 character go to the mist (the PvP preperation area) and try everything out on level 80. Their are PvE enemys to test your skills on. So you can try out every profession til you find something that suits you.

Interesting polls!

I've never played GW so GW2 will be a first.

So the polls told me I'd be a theif, ranger, or engineer.

While it's true you can make a character and head to the mists to try out all tha talents and weapon sets, etc, I find it's only really useful to try out the style of your weapon skills.  The "PvE" enemies are designed specifically to absolutely demolish you: you can't really try different skill strategies and approach things differently when you get 1-2 shotted with 14-24k health, after all.

Unfortunately for me, those quizzes didn't really help me at all.  I tried doing them and I ended up getting Theif, Engineer, Mesmer.  Engineers and Mesmers I'm not a fan of, and thieves I'm iffy on because of their initiative system.

I think I spoiled myself by trying a dual dagger elementalist, since they do so much damage, but their squishyness is debilitating for me, which is making me second guess my class choice constantly.
