Go figure, I scored 80% archer 80% assassin.  Sounds like me.

If the assassin-like class uses bows, looks like you're set.  :)

I never choose a tank class. I hate the pressure.

Thief is definitely the most challenging profession so far. I would not recommend it for players who are not experienced with using WASDQE combined with camera angle twitching. The damage is actually pretty modest compared to the warrior and guardian and battles tend to get drawn out with the thief's survival being heavily dependent on good dodging and retreat skill use.
I think out of all of the thief's abilities, the mechanic that most defines it is shadowstepping (in and out of combat) over stealth or steal. So if you like to have tight control over the movements of your character with your success being defined by it, then this is a good profession for you. :)

Why would I want to limit myself to one profession when I can just play them all?

Ever thought about the fact that not everyone is like you Ramei? Some people don't like to play all classes or just simply don't want to play all classes. A big reason for that is time! Some people want to spend all time on one or two toons, while others just don't have that much time to play the game.

If you want to play all professions you obviously don't need this guide.

I would belive that was a calculated move to get players to think the Thief was a holy avenger, so they would choose to go Necromancer instead for their abigous morality proffesion.
It is all a great consperacy of the Necromancers players, making to get themselves more people to fuel their doomsday machine that will take over the WORLD.Or it could be a simple linkinging error, we shall never know.

I had to laugh when you mentioned Drizzt and Enteri (after I had my nerdgasm), but I preferre the Zak and Drizzt battle.

The Thief description is wrong, You don't need to play a melee character. I Intend to play it with dual pistols.

Quote

- Do you like to have no recharge on your weapon skills [Initiative]?
- Do you like sneaky, evasive melee fighters that use hit and run tactics [Duelist archetype]?
- Do you like to use stealth, shadow steps, traps and stealing in combat [Shadow arts]?
- Do you like the look of medium armor [Adventurer]?

I also have a very funny text alrdy for a sneaky assassin. but i have to wait till the official announcement! ;)

Jimmeh1993! Those lines are very good. I have added most of them in the guide.

@AJ. I had the idea in mind to create a guide based on questions alone. Something like this. But that's very hard to make!

I scored Assassin! What a surprise hehe!

@Dartus. Maybe i can try to put it in there. But i don't think the weapons should be a very important factor when deciding a proff in this game. What do you guys think?

That quiz (http://quizfarm.com/...-class-are-you/) is extremely helpful for an altaholic such as me. :D

Thanks for the link.

90% Battlemage
90% Archer

Makes perfect sense since I played a Spellblade in the Elder Scrolls series, but played a Hunter as my main character in WoW. :D

I took it 3 times last night, and once this morning - got Battlemage every single time. (One of those I had a tie breaker for Thief vs Battlemage). I always seem to score high for Battlemage and Thief/Scout.

Guess I'm gonna be an Elementalist. :D

Whaha, Battle-mage is Guardian i guess? :D

Anyways, updating some things today!

edit:

Changed thief spoiler a bit
Changed necromancer spoiler a little bit.

Changed necromancer description a bit.
Changed guardian description a bit.
Changed ranger description a bit.
Changed warrior description a bit.

Fixed some typo's.
Added a link to the official profession page.

---

I have some ideas to improve the guide.

- Add high quality gameplay videos to get a general feel of the profession.
- Add pictures/art
- Add questions to make it easyer to choose between certain professions.

What do you guys think?

90% Warrior/Soldier
70% Battlemage
50% Scout/Assassin/Archer
40% Necro/Healer

I do like my soldier professions sure, but I associated all of this with who I am as a person not who I play in games.

So far Guardian (Battlemage/Warrior) and Necromancer are my favorite classes.

The lack of healer is disconcerting since I was actually a relatively famous healer in the game Runes of Magic for quite some time when the game released... before they broke the stats and made the game terrible.

This is a great profession chooser however it just doesn't work for me. I'm a long time mmoer, I know what I want =D

Very amusing!  Shame I still don't know which class to play T_T

I'll have to make all of them and tinker around before I make up my mind.  They all sound so awesome.

^^ I played this game too. It became terrible and far from F2P. Micro transactions were almost necessary.

But nice guide- It's funny. I am Guardian :D
