I'm new to the forums (been reading them for over a year now but just recently signed up) so forgive me if this has already been posted.
I would like to ask the community to make requests about what in-depth videos of the new Gamescon demo they would like to see made by the attendees.
My best friend played the demo at Comic Con and he said he was in so much awe that he completely lost track of everything he wanted to do and time just flew by. Hopefully by creating this thread we can give people some objectives!
I'll start this off by making a couple requests:
1. To every person planning to make a video at gamescon, please invest in a tripod or unipod for your camera. You can get a cheap unipod for less than $20 and it will greatly increase the quality of the video you make. We'd all appreciate that a lot!
2. I'd like to see the intricacies of the Charr starting area. The architecture, the insides and out the landscape, and if possible the starting city.
After going through the thread here is the requests that have surfaced so far:
The Obvious Requests:
-Character Creation for every race/gender/profession combination. I think 70 separate videos is far from necessary, but taking 5-10 mins or so with each one would be fantastic.
-Gameplay of each profession for both Sylvari and Asura, taking time to note their different animations above and below water.
-Details on all new available weapons, their skills, how they work, and changes for pre-existing weapons.
-Extensive PvP gameplay for all professions
-HD recording of each races intro cinematic
-Personal story/Biography questions regarding the new races for each profession, taking note of the pets for rangers.
-Charr starting area in its entirety, taking time to note/admire scenery, architecture, and scale.
-Mouse-overs of the PvP skills for each profession, allowing us at home to make comparisons to the PvE equivalents.
The Not-So-Obvious (and more specific) Requests:
-Footage of an Ash Legion, Blood Legion, and Iron Legion thief.
-Shop interfaces and merchant items. What kind of items and skill upgrades are available for purchase. Karma vendors.
-Rangers taming new pets (if possible)
-Asura Engineer committing genocide against thousands of Skritt with a flame thrower.
-Character creation extremes (i.e. trying to make the norn-iest norn possible, the cattiest charr possible, asura that look like GW1 asura, the ent-iest Sylvari, etc.)
-Underwater warrior
-Damage comparisons (i.e. grab a warrior and shoot a mob in the starting area with a rifle, then the same with an engineers rifle, a ranger bow, etc.)
-A display of how the Theif's steal ability works in PvP
-Earth attunement for elementalists
-Emotes (if possible)
-A speed demonstration with all of the races running from one point to another, to see if the asura can actually keep up with a norn and how they do so if possible.
-Customize-able key bindings (if available)
-Mini-Games like Keg Brawl (if available)
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
I've decided that once videos start surfacing from both recordings of the livestream and from attendees I will do my best to link them with the proper item on the list.
