And what about those of us that just enjoyed Diablo 3?
I didn't think it was the greatest game I ever played, but it did take up a few hundred hours of my time as I got both my Demon Hunter and Monk all the way through Inferno. Once I did that, though, I was ready to play something else. But I felt I had gotten my money's worth, especially compared to many other games out there that you could spend $60 on and be finished in less than 20 hours.
I'm eager for the new expansion.
The short response is that people who are like us in this regard... are no longer in the community. The people who are still on Diablo 3 community sites are going to be the people who are still playing (and thus be the people who think it's still worth playing after a year and a half) or the people who have an axe to grind and who are only there to grind that axe.
I'm in a similar boat - I think i did get my money's worth for it, even though it had plenty of flaws, but it just didn't sustain my interest - to play, or to complain about. I wouldn't say I'm eager for the expansion, per se, but I am keeping an eye on it. Well, half an eye. Quarter. Maybe three sixteenths of one.
