Concerning the system of inter-combos, can you tell me how many of these combos are already established in the game?
Ben Miller: Actually, it is also one aspect of the game that we are actively working right now. We have information about it arriving very, very, very, VERY soon. The example of physical projectiles passing through a wall of fire is the best known. Spells creating such zones can effect mostly be used in the same way by the players. But again, we will deliver more details on these combos soon.
Next blog post :)
Ben Miller: For me it is one that has not yet been revealed. I'm sorry but it's true! I try to avoid the question but it really is my favorite!
Noooooo why do we suffer? :(

I've been wanting to see more than just the same old firewall routine.

Translate on freetranslation.com to "It ya currently 8 foreseen keeps in game."
I would be willing to guess it just means that there are currently 8 dungeons planned for release at this point. I could be wrong... I don't speak French lol

Sounds right except for google translate saying planned for "Thursday". I suppose anything is possible with a translator...but eh.

edit: why the hell can't they just give us the original, english answers people give them ? we have to put up with an automated translation of a translation... when they have the "real" answers on their desks.

In the french version it says "système de traits". It is the trait system.

I mean the only cross profession combos that I heard off was shooting A though B to get C (like a arrow though fire to get arrow-on-fire for more damage).

"game" is written "jeu" in french. "thursday" is written "jeudi". So, Google translates "jeu" by "thurs"...

But I was hoping something like that to come out after the reveal of all professions so they could use all of them in the action as an example :/

I'm the one who made the interview during the PGW ;)
To answer a few questions i've read :
@bmine : Yes, Ben Miller actually said : "really, really, really, really soon". So, we might assume, some infos are on the way !
@dungeons : Jeff Grubb said that there will be 8 dungeons in the game. Nothing new then...
@Nemui Ben Miller said he was working on the "trait" system. And the reason the ITW is in french is quite simple : I was at the PGW for a french website (jeuxonline.info), so I had to make my news in french although I made the interview in english (both questions and answers)...
I'm deeply sorry about that :(
If you have any questions about the ITW or the translation, feel free to ask ! :)

Hi Melila,
I'm just curious, but does JeuxOnLine allow interviews to be presented in both french and english if the interview was originally in english? For instance, I've seen sites such as OnlineWelten sometimes provides the english version after the german version (example, pages 1-6 are in german, 7-12 are the same interview in english).
Obviously if the interview was in french originally this wouldn't be practical. :D Is this feasible or is does it have something to do with site policy?

Hey! You did an awesome job there. Finally some adrenaline-injecting interview. I've been waiting for one like this for a long, long time. Keep up the good work! ;)

I really, really, really, really hope that this soon means this week. Problem is, we will now get a sample/learn of ArenaNet's time-philosophy, and if this "really, really, really, really soon" means first or second week of November, we can guess the approximate timetable for their other promises - e.g. the most debated and well-known promises: Mesmer revealed on December 22, while CB starting around that time too. :p

Do note that this was a statement from Ben Miller. He's a developer, and he may know that the information has been submitted for publication, but he may not have any idea how long that whole publication process takes. That could well be a few more weeks. But that doesn't say anything about similar statements by other team members (so a similar statement from for example Eric Flannum or Martin Kerstein could easily mean something completely different...)

The main problem is that the audio recording is really really really really(Ben, you here?) bad, meaning there's a lot of background noises. It was quite hard to transcribe it... And unfortunately, I transcribed it directly in french (listened in english, wrote it down in french...).
In the meantime, it'll be my pleasure to answer you :)
@Thalador : Thanks a lot ! :) The devs were really nice and friendly but as always, there's nothing really new :(

Ah, my mistake, thought it was already written in english. If it's a recording, I can also understand why it's far more work to get it available.
