I know, I know, the game isn't even out yet. BUT could you guys tell me which of these you would most like to see becoming a playable races.:)

These top ones in bold are those I think most likely to make it into future playable races.

Kodan
Frogmen
Tengu
Grawl
Naga
Skritt (one of my favs, hope it becomes a playable race)
Dredge

These other are just the ones that are stupid, because if they are in the game they will most likely be enemies, but u can still pick them. :D

Undead
Seer
Mursaat (it could happen! but they are probs gonna be an enemy due to what they said in gw1, which is still great, they're my favourite race.)
Margonite
Forgotten (they all look the same, I don't really like them)
Fleshreavers??

The 3 top races I want to bcome playable are:
KODAN!!!
Skritt
Naga

A new type of margonites maybe? (silly i know)

For your suggestion I would only want Tengu out of your top 4, other than that Forgotten/Naga and Centaurs.

centaurs are their main minor enemy, they're always using them when they talk about outposts getting overrun.

Frogmen were enemies in Nightfall, none of them became allies unless you count that one dungeon where you could pick sides.. but in the story mode you worked with centaurs to take back the Dejarin estate.

So really either could be used.. Frogmen/hekets and centaurs were usually always 95% enemies in GW1.

oh and just do you know..in your edited post... Forgotten weren't enemies.. they were in the Desert missions, but they were to get you Ascended..and were helping us against Abaddon.. so they aren't really enemies.

However the Veldrunner Centaurs in Elona could still be friendly (mostly). The only problem is, that perhaps King Joko has already conquered them and either turned the tribe into a bunch of living corpses, or made them slaves - beasts of burden.

Maybe they teamed up, however reluctantly with the Order of Whispers.. but yea i see your point.. it would be weird. Most of the Centaurs in Tyria were enemies..so maybe some good ones will arise from the Maguuma Jungle/Crystal Desert?

Its not a suggestion its a question/discussion ... similar to my crafting thread which has been forcefully moved to the suggestion thread and then (like i assumed it would) died a silent death... :(

On topic: one of the interviews stated that the game would be setup in such a way that new races could be included, so there is a big chance new races to show up in expansions... which these will be is anyone's guess :)

Of the bolded ones I like Naga the most.

As for the others, I think the Mursaat will make a return seeing how everyone loves them (including Anet staff), with the Mursaat will the Seers probably come too.
I love the forgotten too, so I'm hoping for them as a returning race.

Please, if they bring back the Mursaat I really want to see the Seer(s?) return in some way or another as well. I dont think either will be a playable race though.

Playing as frogmen might be fun...

Don't bet on either of those. Mursaat would be OP'd due to Spectral Agony, and if they are removed people will QQ because that is probably why they wanted to play Mursaat. Margonites are either all dead, imprisoned, or dying. Except for the very rare which allied with the true gods instead of Abaddon, of which there are only two such Margonites: The Apostate and The Lost.

Wrong! In lore, Frogmen are not Hekets! Frogmen are frog creatures, Hekets are toad-creatures. Very similar, as they can be considered like cousins, and despite GW1 considering them the same, they are not.

For myself, I want to play as a Fleshreaver. Those are the evilist creatures in Tyria (this is not including demons, and yes, I don't think the elder dragons are that diabolical) - they are born as skeletons and they add flesh of their prey to their bodies!

Along with a Tengu, Naga, and undead. Aside from Charr and Sylvari.

OH i must not have read that about the frogmen. My apologies. I was going to say no to an undead race.. but I'd just have to see how it was implemented before I say my verdict.

tengu would definitely be the most logical, they are most developed a a race lorewise.we even have a mission in the bmp with them. centaurs are well developed too but they seem to have been turned into mostly enemies in gw2. we don't know what role gw2 will place for tengu. they don't have to be enemies still. hell, charr were enemies in gw1, look at em now.

I didn't even think about the fleshweavers, they would be awesome to play, getting stronger and more complete by adding flesh to their bodies.

Sad to think that its unlikely to happen :qq:, as they will be player enemies and probably dont have the brains to form a society.

Frogmen or Naga are the prime suspects for me due to their aquatic nature and GW2 big "you can swim and explore underwater!" feature, more support for this is the Frogmen being included in the artbook with text saying they have progressed to the level of human tech around GW1 by the time of GW2.

The naga would be interesting in a cantha expansion.

Kodan in my eyes are unlikely as they seem to be a companion race for the norn, their playstyle would be too similar to a norn in bear form for them to warrent their own race.

Tengu are a well loved race in GW so as with the naga they are possible for the cantha expansion, especially so due to the Tengu settlement on shing jea (which i suspect will be the base of operations for the resistance and the starting point in the cantha campaign).

The grawl IMO are also unlikely as they are still relatively savage in gw2 (as seen in trailer 2) and get eaten by the charr, leading to opposing factions which is a fundamentally bad thing for the community.

I want my creepy and wicked living creature that looks like an undead!

Incorrect. They have advanced considerably, but are still a very primitive race.

All non-humans were removed from the Empire of the Dragon, and Shing Jea is part of the Empire, so if there are other races, they are south of the Kurzick/Luxon lands we explored.

The same can be said for the Hylek/frogmen - they are fairly hostile by the information we have. But even humans are charr, or asura and sylvari, are hostile to each other. So it is possible, but they might be too primitive.

I would like to play an Oni or some sort of mortal minor daemonspawn, perhaps descendants of ancient humans mutated by dark magics on Cantha. Not necessarily evil but dark, secret and twisted race.

I think the Mursaat and Seers together would be cool. Seeing as GW2 seems to play off the fact that none of the races really like each other, it seems that the Mursaat and Seers would mix well with this bunch.  Plus it'd be two awesome races.

Others I'm predicting are Tengu and Centaurs.

i like the Hylek a lot, but to actually to play a race like that, i don't see me roll one.
anyhow, i'd wish the expansion will bring more exotic races to roll. those birds kind of creatures, what's their names again? they seem kinda cool.

Tengu is the only known non-playable race that is actually a serious consideration for a playable race imo, and the only one I would actually want to play.
Seeing what Anet did with the Charr I can really see the Tengu becoming a terrific playable race.

I really don't know Guild Wars lore, but I'd like to be able to play some kind of no-quite-living thing.  Undead of some kind or an artificial construct.  It just provides fun existential dilemmas.
