GW2BBCode

Today I bring thee GW2BBCode. Some of you may be familiar with the original gwbbcode project, now discontinued, which hooked into several forum systems to do its job; GW2BBCode runs entirely in the browser instead, so it should be much easier to deploy on virtually any website out there, and easier to maintain of course.
More info & download on the project's website: http://gw2bbcode.com
Please note: as the site mentions, this is just a preview, so please no comments about how the set of skills is (very) incomplete and other obvious things — I'm aware :)
Also, please no comments about how the site fails in browser X: I really don't care as long as it works in recent versions of Firefox and Chrome.
Suggestions and constructive criticism welcome; I'll be using this thread as the primary discussion (and support) venue for now.
Hope this will be useful, enjoy!

I love the accessibility of the script. I'm sure it's something that GW2G would love to use if the project keeps itself up.

I'd be interested to know exactly why you used MooTools, whether it's a limitation based on the developer or for some other reason. I like MooTools for OOP projects. It may be beneficial in the future to move away from using MooTools and sticking to jquery as most sites already use this. Is there something specifically object-oriented that I am missing?

I'm not sure I consider "because he likes to" to be a clear explanation. It's generally bad practice to code something using a library knowing that it limits the performance of the project.

It doesn't limit performance any more than using any other general purpose library would. I chose to use MT because I like it a lot; if this is a problem for you I suggest you ignore it.
Again, this is just a hobby project — I'm not gonna use shitty jQuery just to please the majority of site owners out there.
I will ignore any new posts from you, as you seem to be just trolling.

Calling jQuery shitty almost makes me think you have never used it (I know you do, actually checked your personal site). Otherwise a majority of site owners would be using MooTools over jQuery. Obviously professional developers and companies find an obvious reason to use jQuery over MooTools, and its not because they were forced to or because they want to be cool. There are performance, and usability gains when using jQuery over MooTools and there is a greater respository of help, examples, and extensions to jQuery.
You are free to use whatever you want, but it doesn't mean you are right, and calling other developers trolls, doesn't make you anymore right. I am sure someone will take the time and port it over to jQuery. If I find the time, I will do it myself.

Also if your not gonna give advice in a nice constructive manner then keep it in your head, a lot of time and effort has gone into this so dont come in here and rain on the parade.

On another note, any community work is worth encouraging, so I express my thanks to riven (even though I would never use this tool) and to anyone who dedicates time to develop for free! ;)
