I doubt they will show new GW2 stuff unless it has already released.

Doesn't look like gameplay info. But I could be wrong.

Yeah, seems like they will be showing off their concept arts again (and hey, while you are watching our awesome artworks, perhaps you'd like to buy an art book?)

Bah, more concept art.

Don't get me wrong, ArenaNet's art is awesome, but cmon, where are the juicy details?

There needs to be more conventions Anet goes to near Chicago. :( :qq:

This is developers-centered convention (as far as I know). So it's less about bling and more about sausage-making.

I don't think Anet will feel pressed to tie their PR schedule to GDC, so I'm not worried about distinct lack of GW2 hype in the event list.

Dudes dudes....think about this. The first trailer was released 20th of August. The second one the 3rd of December. Thats almost exactly 3,5 months apart. Guess what: fast forward 3rd of December by 3,5 months, and you'd get....9-13 March! 3rd Trailer? Hurrah! Of course, it's only speculation, but it would be hell of a coincidence wouldn't it? :)
Can't believe I registered here just to make this post. Meh.

I wouldn't give up all hopes. Like, ttomaster mentioned, it does seem like really good timing to show the next trailer during the GDC. Whether or not the next trailer is revealed by then, I'm excited to see what they have to present. I'm sure that they will not disappoint.

Doesn't say anything about Guild Wars 2 info. They only sending Daniel Dociu for the art discussion. I bet they are only going to do PAX as per usual and we will here we "can't afford" to go anywhere else again. For a new game you would think they would want to go to more than just PAX and show off how good GW2 will be. It didn't stop Aion from going to other places did it ? Hmmm, funny how that works!

It would be nice if there was something near the Los Angeles area. Heck even San Diego would be worth the trip.

San Francisco .... can't stand the city.

That said it would be worth the trip if we all went dressed up as 55 tattooed monks in loin cloths to discuss the Art direction of Guild Wars Armor.

I think there should be more ANET conventions in Swindon, UK.

Hell there should just be one in the UK...

Interesting, Jason Hayes did all of WoW's music. Looks like NCSoft snatched him up! I wonder if people are still going to hate on him now.

I just want to reiterate what shillo noted in terms of who is actually attending GDC and what the audience at the conference there is like. The GDC is a professional and industry-oriented conference. For example, just take a look at the prices for the conference passes; those are definitely not consumer-oriented prices. The vast majority of the lectures and tutorials are incredibly technically-oriented (or business-oriented), on topics which are of prime interest to other developers and which, in general, would only be of limited interest to the general public.

Jeff Strain's "How to create an MMO" speech was at a developer conference, and I thought that one was quite interesting.

I haven't spent much time in LA or SD, but I totally love SF. It's one of the places I miss most after moving up here.
