Here it is, folks. Press beta is done and mesmer is out. Information has been gathered and is being processed. Lets see how the rankings change.

If you're going to post, make sure to explain why you voted for a certain profession. There is no need to only let us know which profession you've voted for.

As there is no more hype around new proffesions, I think this poll will be more modest... Even if there was a lot of mesmer footage, everyone finally saw the true capabilities of all proffesions...

I voted Ranger but Mesmer and Guardian are pretty close ones
pretty much all of them are pretty cool I just hope Anet gives us enough char slots XD

Beta footage didn't help at all, from struggle between Eng,Thief and Guardian to the point I was certain I know I want to play.. press beta shattered all my points. I am clueless once again.

It's just stronger than me, only GW mesmers lovers would understand.

Still interested in the adventurers the most.
The ranger gained some ground and overcame the engineer, but currently they are both still slightly behind the thief. I'll need to test these guys out, but I am fairly sure one of these three will be my main.

1. Dagger/dagger+conjure lightning+glyph of lesser elemental+glyph of elemental

Scepter/focus+conjure fire+arcane wave+signet of earth

Staff+conjure frost+arcane blast+signet of fire

etc etc end result =Elemental Executioner the dps in a single spike will be so high that the enemy will start to cry:D and with all the hard CC you'll just give up on moving at all, you'll cross your arms and wait for the inevitable:devil:

2. Mesmer= Once I get my hands on this profession, I'll learn to use the clones in such a manner that you'll need an aspirin after our fight...ofc when you respawn in your base, illusionary reaper:devil:

3.Guardian= You will need more than that 'small' number of people if you think you can conquer this keep while I'm defending it,Iron Wall :devil:

Dang, I was so excited about Engineer, that was the major class I though of and I almost feel bad about abandoning them but...

Necromancer looks so great! D: I'm being turned to the dark side!

I'll hold off on my vote for now, I want to see more, but right now the idea of making a necromancer who controls armies of minions and is a juggernaught almost impossible to kill seems like a lot of fun.

My biggest concern is the fact that the "unstoppable deathshroud/Minion focus" Necro is the only one that interests me, I'm still trying to wrap my head around a conditions/burst Necro, but it just seems like Mesmer would be so much better at it.

I voted mesmer, but I have to say that only Greatsword is impressive for me, staff is OK but lacks a direct-damage spell and scepter is interesting with confusion, but not overwhelming. However, I hesitated on voting ele because:

* FGS ele > MH sword mesmer in terms of gameplay and awesomeness
*  Staff ele is well-rounded, smooth to play and quite suitable for improvisation whilst mesmer seems to be played with a pre-fight optimisation, staightforward rotations and has tremendous constraints

I even think that if mesmer staff stays as it is then I will make ele my main and mesmer my second main (i.e. the most important alt) instead: better to have a profession which is unique and suits me perfectly (staff + FGS ele) than having a great weapon set 1 (Greatsword mesmer) but no other sound choice for weapon set 1: having to play dice all the time without a single direct damage spell (staff mesmer) or spam condition (scepter mesmer) or rely on minion bombs (mh sword mesmer) seem too far from what I would expect form the master of illusion and mind control.

EDIT: given the poll results so far (mesmer > ele) I should have voted ele :(

Does the GW2G setup accept the entry of several-choice polls? There are some who would love to choose more than one profession and see the results: I for instance would love to vote ele and mesmer in even proportions :D

Last few times I voted Thief, but after seeing some Elementalist footage I just can't resist it. The Elementalist has the most awesome skills I've ever seen. Those sounds the different elements make are just so perfectly done.  I also fell in love with the clothing, but that might just be me being a woman wanting to look stylish even when entering battlefield.

I am now 95% sure my main is going to be a Human Elementalist, even if it's maybe a bit hard to master. I already programmed my naga mouse so I can switch between all the attunement easily, so I'm all set.

Ready to burn everyone's ass off! ^.^

I love the mesmer more and more as I see it :) I intend to Solo character the game and Mesmer seems like just the character to do it with.

all the mesmer footage almost made me jump ship... but after seeing the new guardian changes and traits, i'm definitely sticking with my original choice. Though, I've never been so excited to make alts in a game before :)!

On the previous thread I voted for Ranger but now it has changed to Elementalist and that's what I'm gonna stick to definitely! The conjure weapons just won me over, they look so awesome! :P
