Lets make it clear, change the background of the cutscene. The way it is now, it feels too out of place.

Scenes that need fixing:

In this example, this scene took place in a tent. They need to have a background that it did take in a tent.

The human tutorial(Sergeant Walters' scene 5:56) is suppose to take place in a dark and stormy night. Why the hell is it bright and morning in that cutscene?

The Charr tutorial(Centurion's scene 12:47) has a background where it is in the middle of clear waters and innocent world. It is suppose to take place in the middle of a battlefield. Give us a background that it actually look like it is in a battlefield.

Good examples of cutscenes:

The Norn's tutorial(Ido the Tanner 10:50) is fine with me, the cutscene matches with the setting. One minor change is that I suggest adding a table and a fire place to it.

The Priestess scene has the same background as Sergeant Walter's scene. This is where that background fits very perfectly.



I know it is beta and that it is in work of progress, but it needs to be addressed before ArenaNet overlooks this.

I really like the backgrounds as they are. It fit the game and its visual style :)

"Work in progress" it even says so in the top right corner. They might be thinking of just those things that you mentioned.

I like style that's used in all of their concept art (which is what the backgrounds are now), but I agree that something relevant to the actual setting would be nice.  That style art but with relevant backgrounds would make it better.  Also, some of the voice acting (especially opening of norn area) to me felt a little like it was taken out of context and thrown together as a montage rather than an actual conversation.

Assuming that you meant the style, I agree. I do want this style.

Assuming that you meant what is actually shown, I disagree.

It feels ArenaNet half-assed the cinematics. This goes against the whole point of "When it's ready." They want to make a complete product, not an unfinished game.
