Who are we?
First and foremost, we are a guild of friends, companions, and family. At our very core is the fiery passion for strong community that makes any online game that much more fulfilling. Forgefire brings players from all play styles, and experience levels together in a fun and up-beat atmosphere. We value respect for our fellow players above all else. The guild is made up of several houses, each led by a council member. These houses represent a selection of different play styles. In this way, a wide variety of players are able to come together in one guild, and yet still be part of a group that best reflects their individual style. Each house has it’s own story, symbol, and color. You can play however you want to play, so long as you have fun with your guildies and enjoy the time you spend online. Your time in game is precious, it's supposed to be a release and be fun.
What type of guild is [FFS]?
Forgefire is a PvX Guild which means that we will be equally focused on playing both the Player vs. Enviornment (PvE) and the Player vs. Player (PvP) elements of the game. Players may focus on both or either of these game elements at their discretion. When Guild Wars 2 is released, we will have scheduled PvE and PvP events. We have a wide range of player types and want all of our players to enjoy their style of play. We do not require a minimum time played each week, nor do we force anyone to participate in guild events. We ask that you try and make any guild meetings, participate in the forums, and participate in any guild events you can. We understand that most people have other, more important matters in their life. In the end, we are all here to have a good time and enjoy the game and the company of good friends. How is ForgeFire Society governed?
We have a unique system in place for the guild. Although ForgeFire Society was established by one person it is run by four council members. Each council member is the head of a House, which represent the wide player base of the community. Decisions are voted on by the council after input from the members have been expressed and considered. (Topics such as officer promotions, alliances, replacement of council members, etc…) For all other important decisions, we will be utilizing a “triad” system. This means that if a council member would like to take action on something, he must consult with 2 other council members before doing so. Using this method, we can allow the guild to make quick decisions, without requiring a full vote. (Topics such as new recruits, movement from one house to another, removing a player from the guild, etc…)
How do I join?
Membership in ForgeFire Society is a fairly easy process. However this does not mean we just let anyone in.
We want people who will contribute to our community, both in personality and experience. We strive to be drama free in the guild and anyone who can not abide by this will be handled appropriately by the council. We want everyone to enjoy their experience, have a good time, joke with other members and feel at ease with what we post on our forums and in Guild channels such as In-Game Chat and our Ventrillo Server. If after reading all of this, you still wish to apply, you must create a forum account at our website and fill out an application.
Thanks very much for your consideration,
The Elder Council [FFS]

Update: We are also looking to build relationships with other guilds that will participate in PvP. We want to establish a community on a server that is friendly, willing to work together and dominate in WvW.
