Deadly Arts: Power and Expertise.
Critical Strikes: Precision and Prowess.
Shadow Arts: Toughness and Compassion.
Acrobatics: Vitality and Concentration.
Trickery: Malice and Guile.
Me thinky typo.
----------
This horrible display of human tendency to mess up on really small things makes me not want to get the game now, they are so unprofessional.
Just kidding, I love them.
I like the new trait system! And how it's important to pick traits well, because it will take some little money and an NPC to change your traits, but still be easy and allow much diversity in your traits.

Back to the drawing board for the theory crafters.

I was just hoping for a more interesting mesmer attribute. :(

Nope.
It's a word. :) Synonym of ruse.
Pretty interesting though, I'm not surprised that we have to visit a trainer to reset, but at least it's possible. I'm so a noob in building characters that my fear is always the impossibility to restart.
Looking forward trying it.

If they kept the last 4 and just added profession specific attributes, that would have been so much better

I think he meant Guile being mesmer specific attribute shown on Thief.

the whole point in GW1 was that you could change your attributes and have several armor sets so you could eventually become everything and beat whatever challenge you've been facing...
the whole concept of respeccing costs a fee is just wrong! GW, as much as it turned to be a build wars, was about building yourself and adjust yourself. the whole point was that there were no pernament stuff!
+ Anet said they wanted you to experiment and change stuff - why forcing you making ireversable choices?
don't get me wrong, I love this game and a huge fan. but this? this just ruins stuff... badly.

considering thats lower recharge time on stuns and reflective shields.. I'd say that's nothing to scoff at from a function standpoint... certainly beats lower recharge on 'steal' for the thief.. imo

They took the considerable time and effort into typing: "small" before "fee". It's probably going to be 50 copper things or less, really easily: just to let you know that your trait picks will affect your character until you choose to go a different path.
Still easy to change. Really easy to change compared to other games.

Do you re-spec with gold or real money?
Probably in-game gold...

The elemental lines don't improve the specific element, they improve your character in different ways. This is not a WoW talent system.
