Has your class choice changed after watching more beta videos?

For instance, I was almost certain I wanted to play Thief after watching the skill videos on the GW site, but after watching a ton of beta videos... I'm pretty sure it's actually going to be Elementalist, and possibly follow up with Warrior & Necromancer.

Yes!  Completely unexpectedly.  I was certain I was going to be deciding between Thief and Mesmer.

I'm finding myself less interested in Mesmer now, and am very interested in Guardian, though I haven't had any interest in Guardian up until this point.

At first I was going to go Guardian, now I'm setting up for a Warrior as my main. Can't wait to go hammer-time!

Possibly.  I was thinking of maining a sylvari guardian, but I'm now wondering about whether a sylvari warrior wouldn't fit the character that I have in mind better.  I'm hoping to get into one of the betas to really figure out what I am going to want to do, though.

@Aerophysical - I don't suppose you came to this same conclusion after watching the YOGSCAST videos?  The way they played warrior made it more interesting than the guardian, although I'm still going to hold onto my decision until I have a chance to try them out.

Ranger still, but my Elementalist opinion has changed and I will surely play it!

I usually play rogues.... but Ranger, guardian, and engineer look awesome... will be a tough decision for the first character.

My main has always been Elementalist.  But beta vids did a lot to change my opinion on alts.

No longer interested in Thief.
More interested in Ranger, Guardian, and Necromancer.
Much less interested in Mesmer and Engineer.
Never was interested in Warrior.

I wasn't really sure before, but now i'm 100% sure that the Elementalist will be my main, as that class seems to have the most skills and biggest variety in them, which is something that matters a lot to me (and what GW2 lacks some of).

I'll also make a Thief and a Ranger. I'll make them immediately when i get to the game, just to reserve the names, then create my Elementalist and play the game, leaving the other 2 characters for later replays and new stories :)

Yes! At first i wanted to be elementalist, until they revealed mesmer, but the mesmer gameplay looked kind of boring and repetitive. The memsers go owned by thieves which made me interested of them instead.

I relaly hope you're joking here.

The mesmers were played horribly and the thieves played brilliantly.

It was done on purpose to attract players to the thief profession which had previously flooded the forums with thief-tears.

Elementalist still, but when my mind is tired of thinking of all the skills they have I will maybe go thief just to dance around people and deal damage and make people mad.  Maybe I should be a tanky thief, oooo.

My Main will still be Elementalist, after seeing The Ranger video put out by the Yogscast I will probably roll with that for one of my Alts.

First I was going ranger, then engineer, then necromancer, and now warrior. Let's see what happens.

Eh. Yes and no. I've always planned on making a character of each profession, but my main has always been planned to be a Warrior.

After seeing one video of a warrior from the recent press beta... I seriously doubt anything will change me from that course. It was beautiful.

The other characters are more up for debate though. I suppose I'll save them for when I actually get to play them since they're not going to be my main anyway.

Before I was torn between 5 professions. Now between 8 XD

So I'm still undecided - I'm afraid I will have no main, but 8 alts ^^
Maybe I will decide on a main profession after a few weeks...

I was thinking of mesmer or theif, but now I like the elementalist.
If I make a second character it'll be a thief. But I think one character will be enough for me. Only time will tell. lol

I'm considering making a thief as my primary now after watching some PvP videos, but I still like guardian so it's going to be tough. Kind of lost my enthusiasm for engineer although I'll still make a character. I was totally disappointed with the ranger and mesmer after reading about them, but after watching some videos I've warmed to the idea of giving them a character slot each to try out

If anything it has made me want to play more alts. And it has made me want to play certain classes more than others. For example, I was going to make the Necromancer my main alt, but now it might be the Thief.

The Guardian will still be my main, as I am drawn way too much to its style.

I have had my eye on a few classes for awhile now, and the recent beta videos have helped me narrow it down some.

I had high hopes for the Ranger, Mesmer, and Engineer, but unfortunately after seeing some of their core skills in action recently I am dropping all three more towards the bottom of my list. All for graphical reasons actually. The ghostly animal overlay of many of the Ranger's attacks, the mesmer's butterflies, and the Engineer's turrets are all a little too cheesy and ill fitting for me.

This reshuffling has bumped the Warrior, Necro, and Guardian all to higher positions of interest on my list.

Nope i'm serious as iv'e seen it mesmers has a few actual damage skills most of the skill bar is covered up with clones and phantasms which for me isn't that great fun to play with(want to be more active in game) now i don't know if it was on purpose but i still stick with the thief.

Nope, still plan to make an Asura Ranger for my PVE/WvW main and Ranger/Warrior/Ele as the ones I will most likely be doing the most 5v5 with.

Oh, well, that reasoning I can completely accept lol. 100% true...

I misunderstood and thought you just chose Thief cause the Mesmers (and they did) got PWND.

Not really, but it's made me want to start my alt sooner. Necromancers and Elementalists look AMAZING. Mesmers really seem meh in comparison. But I still want to play one. Sure, they're less visually impressive, but Mesmer gameplay intwigues me.

Ha!  That's totally what I've been thinking about.   While I see people posting the uber-crit kind of thief, I keep thinking it might be fun to do some sort of stealthy  survival type thief that keeps popping in out and harassing people rather than going for spikey damage.

Nope still Engy as main.. Thief was a close second, but now it's just getting less and less interesting as more abilities get piled into Stealth maybe when acrobatics traits are known I'll give it a 2nd look.

Anyone else find these type of threads funny?

Person 1: Wanted to play thief, but after seeing the videos it's my last choice now.
Person 2: Thief wasn't even on my radar, but now i'm definitely going to be playing thief first!

Really shows the game has interesting classes that really hit home for some people. Mesmer seems to be the only class that lots are now not wanting to play. I'm still debating on Warrior or Ranger, videos have not really helped at all with my choice. :(

Nope. Elementalist is still the class I'll be playing as first. I love what I've seen of it, and can't wait to play one myself.
