I got the Strumgrenadiers' recruiter asking if I want to join them in the NC, which is not helping.
For those who don't know the SG is kinda the prominent outfit of the NC. They are not the biggest but they are by far the most coordinated and most successful of them all back in Ps1. I wanna join the Vanu because they have laser weapons and an interesting cause, but the NC have reavers, and I wanna blow stuff up... Excessively. Guess I can do that in a scythe or other later Vanu vehicle, but I dunno to what extent.
I do wanna see monster vehicles that cost an excessive number of resources though, like a 5-8 man bomber or some 6 man supertank.
Come with the Vanu, and embrace the future. The rebel aircraft are nothing when they are left in a smoldering wreckage. The Scythe's superior handling and maneuverability ensure the pilot's safety and the mission's completion.

80% of it is a zergfest. However, if you want to solo, and stay away from the big stuff, you won't find much to do. Thing about Planetside, it is 100% PVP in HUGE areas. If you arn't where the action is, you get sight seeing, about it, and the chance to get randomly ganked.
Coordination is awesome though, and makes a nice dent into an enemies defenses (Not sure about PS2, considering how they have bases laid out now). Battles could last in stairwells for hours, but a coordinated team can take an alternate route, and force them to retreat from the Stairwell, letting your main force zerg in.

Geforce is giving away some beta keys to the upcoming beta weekend on the 17th-19th. Worth a try for free if anyone is looking to get one.

The first rule of the fight club is: you do not talk about fight club.

C'mon, not even a barely controllable full burn jump pack on a cool-down timer? Really? What do the others get? A defense shield for one, but what does the other get?

Light assault is already useless at this stage because maxes mow them down,Heavy assault have shields and they can't destroy vehicles/base equipment
Heck its hard to down a MAX even with a heavy assault

Also complains about the damage nerfs to the magmower's cannon and vanu weapons not being hitscan despite being lasers, or something like that. I donno. But a very quick 5 step dash on a MAX unit for a suit ability? C'mon, that's sad no matter how you look at it! XD

All the maxes have the same ability right now, the only difference is that NC have scattercannon which completely obliterates infantry on indoors and at times, other MAXes aswell

Beta in it's case is indeed a beta, and tech test was even more rough but core gameplay is there and it works rather well.
And my gosh, flying a fighter (mosquito in my case) is amazing experience.
I may record some clips if I will ever have too much time, but no promises.

My only prob with that atm is the vanu's damage debuff at a range. It's a HUGE strategic hurdle. They may be good in short-Medium range combat but they have almost nothing against tanks being used as artillery besides flying vehicles.

Crappy PC is crappy (mine), but i've appreciated a LOT the incredible amount of customization (unlike GW2) of the graphic setting, even out of the game touching the right document.
About the game itself, needs polish for sure, some balancing and a couple of features, but overall the core is there - grab your weapons and go shoot for the glory of the Van.... ermh, your side.

It's a month old, but you'll get some laughs out of it. I was chuckling hysterically around 0:16:40, and also around 0:19:20, where he goes for an, ahem, troop pickup

F2P games can also afford to release early, frankly. That's the whole point. When interested people show up 6 months from now, they don't have to think about whether to open their wallet to try something out. Retail boxes fare far worse that way. In that respect, releasing in the November window with so much competition might be a GOOD thing, only their stronger fans will show up at first to help them continue to "beta" and refine the game.
