Integrated and name left intact. Konig might change it, but as far as I'm concerned, that's short in comparison to some of the thread titles in the GWO Archives.

Updated with a new interview from Ten Ton Hammer.

It has been a while since I updated this, so I think I missed some things. If anyone knows of an interview I missed, please post or PM a link.

Added the excerpt from Matthew Medina's blog post on translatable languages in GW2. Fixed GWO archive links, Central will take you to one containing all the links, from the Druid's Overlook, GWO Lore Forum, to the Durmand Priory itself, with links also to the subsection archives i.e. Tyrian, Canthan, Elonian, Northern Tyrian.

I like the use of the spoiler function to cut down the post size, nice thinking there Konig :)

I have temporarily removed the interviews as the forum change a while back screwed up the formatting and my attempts have proved futile to even let it update. As such, to keep the page from being a huge scrollfest, I've, as said, removed the interviews. I have copied all of the formatting in a document so I retain all interviews, even if the link went dead.

Please feel free to PM me any interviews with lore questions that occurred after February 2011 as I might not have them.

Merged the Lore Interview thread into the archives thread (it is now the fourth post), and updated the rest. I've been reformatting the archives as a whole and you can see in the OP where I'm going.

As always, if there is a thread or interview you feel should be in the archives but isn't, post or PM me with a link.

This thread needs some major updating, drax and Leon. I'm intending to take my laptop to a library this weekend to update stuff if you guys don't by then.

I know. :o

I'd been meaning for a few weeks to put up a request for anyone who knows of an official lore source not on the website or ArenaNet blog to let us know so I don't need to go hunting for them, but I've been pretty busy myself lately. If you can update over the weekend, that would certainly be appreciated.

Either way, Ree's Gamescom interviews should definitely go up as soon as they're transcribed.

I really like this post/thread/thingy. Im working on a story of unknown length and because Im not that at home in the world Im having to learn about races/cultures/lands/relationships somewhat on the fly.

Something that is a bit confusing though is that info from different timeperiods are mixed. Some tabs, like the "factions and races" tab, seems to describe factions and races at the time of Eye fo the north-ish.

It would be easier to get a grip of the lore, if there was a bit more structure like, gw1, gw 2 and between as major groups. It takes alot of sorting through I guess, but just a bit more overall separation of the info would make a big difference.

Still, great work collecting it all and a great Idea!

Quick question to you folks from a lore noob. I am very excited about GW2 and cant wait for beta/release. I never played the first Guild Wars but I was considering picking up the books and trying to catch up on the story/lore.

Do I need to play Guild Wars 1 to really understand all of the lore or can I find most of it in these fine stickies and the books?

Thanks ahead of time.

You can find more of the lore you'll need in the stickies and books, but there are of course some things missed in both - for those, you can always dig through the official GW wiki, reading the quest and mission dialogues and whatnot.
