Thank you Tzu Qui Jinn & TriggerSad, you've given me an idea for a little game.

ArenaNet has recently started a marketing campaign that includes two propaganda flyers.

Obey - The White Mantle
Dismantle - The Shining Blade

I suggest that each of us picks a side and represents it in a variety of ways.

Avatars

I've built some Avatars, feel free to build your own. Simply apply one of these to your forum Avatar, or for that matter, anywhere you feel comfortable representing:

Hashtag Arguments

At the end of every post you make, from now until the event that these posters allude to, place one of these two hashtags:

#Obey
#Dismantle

If you're feeling very "Patriotic" set the hashtag up so that it links back to this thread.

Below these hashtags, spout your propagandistic sentiments and carry on arguments separate from the focus of the thread. However, Mods may frown if people take over-advantage of this. So keep them succinct, civil, and below the hashtags.

Steamstravaganza Names

When participating in the Steamstravaganza, append these 'clan tags' to your name.

Do your best to migrate over to whichever side has your 'teammates' so that we can blow up as many of the 'other side' as you can.

TedTheShred, is it possible for you to recreate the 'letters'-avatars in .png format? With transparent background?

Also, for in Guild Wars, we could just create guilds specifically for it, with the same tags (albeit modified for shortness) and have the guildmembers argue in Lion's Arch, while wearing white/black armor while constantly throwing 'OBEY'/'DISMANTLE' out there,... Or something xD. Would be fun to see what reactions we get, hehe.

Ted, I took the liberty of making the 'letters' avatars transparent, so, here they are;




The Obey one isn't particularly well done, but I couldn't do better unless I'd chop into the red too much. That black background was a pain.

So here, anyone, feel free to use these and paste 'em over your avatars (I'd suggest using GIMP for this, as Paint doesn't have the capability to load transparent images).

EDIT:

I've updated both, should be just a bit better now.

'nother EDIT:

You used the 'Obey'-barcode twice. So, here's the right one for 'Dismantle'.

You can copy-paste the desired letters into an avatar of your choice...

Dismantle+some kind of non-Zhaitan undead. Not that picky, but I may take a pic of Konig from GW1 and put on Dismantle.

If you give it special colors like yours, I may pay special homage to you in a written sense. Attached an old picture for fun/potential use for you.

Its a double actually. The target idea works too but there are two meanings.

The target is actually a CD. A very specific CD....by U2.....How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

We should carry this all the way into MantleCon (Mursaat Rally).  Mantle supporters show up in white and gold, and Shining Blade supporters come in navy blue or black.  Konig, be sure you announce the MantleCon here, as some people (myself included) don't visit the GW1 guru.

Its a bar code. The code has the URL the image is at in it.

Hmm.. one thing I'm worried about is that there seem to be very few Mantle supporters. I'd personally go for Dismantle, but it won't be very fun if there;s 80 'dismantle' people running around, and only 5 'obey' people running around. :p

You obviously haven't surveyed teh situation well enough.  There are ALOT more Mantle ATM than Shining Blade.
