The latest PCGamer has an article about the high level dungeon near the Sylvari starting area.  Obviously I can't scan the pages and post them here, but if you are interested, the May 2012 Issue 226 has it.  But I'll share some of the interesting details.

-Level 50 dungeon focused on fighting the Nightmare Court with Caithe at your side.

-Trash mobs have unique elements, archers have a shot that if it isn't interrupted could get you flung into the abyss behind you

-Each boss in story mode is based on an emotion.  Sariel, knight of remorse, will pick a single target and focus on them relentlessly.  Graingor, knight of horror, uses fear effects on his island in the middle of a huge lake.  Catiern, knight of envy, is a Mesmer that focuses on illusions.

-Explorable mode has three paths to choose from that feature more Sylvari that are rising up to fill the void that you created from killing everything in Story mode.

-There are about 10 random events that happen in a dungeon every time you run it.  Which could be something like a hidden chest or a giant troll that will ambush you along a path that may have been clear last time you ran the dungeon.

-There is a room filled with plant cannons, which you'll need to figure out the pattern to get past them.  If two plant cannons spot you, you're done.  There are other traps similar to what we've seen elsewhere, like fire traps and landmines.

-There is a cave with a lake so large that if you ran the outside edges all the way around, it would take you five to ten minutes.  Three islands in the lake which house Sariel and other mobs.  The lake is huge underwater and could take up to an hour to fully explore.  Random encounters/rewards in the lake, like a huge fish mini-boss that will try to eat you.

o.o

I cannot wait to see what else ArenaNet has in store for end-game PvE.

This looks glorious and I cannot wait. Definitely will be sharing this thread with my facebook buddies and I will be sure to pick up a copy of the magazine. I got last month's issue for the PlanetSide 2 beta key. I might have to subscribe to save me the trip to the supermarket.

I wonder if there is a dungeon in story mode, that will unlock explore-able for each member of Destiny's Edge.

This thing sounds lengthy, difficult and complex. Cannot wait.

It's already confirmed that the dungeon story modes form a whole story arch of getting Destiny's Edge back together, so every dungeon story mode will involve one or two of them.

They mention Rytlock and Logan will make small appearances in this dungeon.  :D  No idea if that is in Story or Explorable though.

Wow, that sounds amazing. I already knew they were going to each have about 3 paths and that each one was going to have different, unique elements like this... but seeing it all together like that makes me anxious to try it out.

My guess is , more then likey its the story mode. The as someone else said, the story mode is the re uniting Destinies edge. The explorer mode takes place after and sort of continues the story of the dungeon. If you think about it, it does not make sense to reunite DE  after. I would assume DE does not help in Explorable mode, still waiting to see Tb's xp mode run.

The 'regular' mobs you have to kill a long the way in order to get to a boss.

Sounds pretty amazing.

A term for the general mobs in any area that have few, if any, special abilities (in comparison to bosses which usually have special mechanics).  They're more throwaway enemies nobody cares about than anything else, hence called Trash Mobs.

So far it sounds like Anet are really trying to keep the content challenging, gotta say i like the way it's starting to look.

No one said it was going to be easy, but people are prone to panicking and judge ahead of time :)

This sounds very interesting, don't know if I'll try the explorable mode in dungeons but we'll see.

There aren't any dedicated interrupts ala D-Shot from GW1 but things like knockdowns and stuns will stop a skill. Remember that an interrupted skill enters a shorter cooldown period than normal.

It's actually everything you have to kill in an instance leading up to a boss/encounter/event.

Rats /= Mobs

Daze's only effect is an interrupt/lockout. It means to stun or stupefy, WoW used it incorrectly.

Let me know if you find them. I was going to try to buy the issue digitally from their website, but OP didnt mention the month and region mag he seen it in. Also, if its only one page of coverage or if its a decent spread. I dont wanna buy an entire mag for half a column ^.^

Any beta keys coming in the magazines like they did for GW1?

Yeah it's the May US issue 226.  You probably won't see it on store shelves for another few weeks.  The preview is only 2 pages, so it's probably not worth it to buy the magazine just for this.

May issue comes out in April. That's how it works for every magazine. Like the issue that came in march was the april issue.
