Will Anet ever implement a feature where you can pick a skill, and then use the mouse to activate it? Instead of constantly tapping the 1-0 keys, it seems like it might be a little bit more convenient and user friendly if they were to do things like that, or at least add the option of doing so. Am I making my point clear or should I elaborate more? Not sure if this has been posted, but I couldn't think of what to search for that would pertain to my question. Thanks!

Mouse clicking is available to activate a skill if that is what you are asking.  It seems like you are asking for something a little more complicated though.

Well to me, it seems like a rather simple concept. You pick a skill, (Example: Press number 1 on your keypad to get the skill ready, and when you are ready to use it on your enemy, you simply click the button on your mouse to activate it)

Are you asking of you can click a skill on your icon bar? If that's your question, of course you can. Or are you asking of you can bind a certain skill to for instance your mouse button? If that's your question, yes you can. There are some skills that are chain skills as well, so you could activate the first stage of it with a key or a click and if you'd like that you can trigger the second stage with your mouse button.
If that's not what you asked, not sure what you meant then.

The OP is asking about queueing up a skill then needing to click your mouse to activate it.  The only situation in which this will happen is the various AoE skills which require a mouse-click to confirm the targeting area.

It is very unlikely they would add this functionality to every skill since it would over-complicate the system, making every skill activation require a keyboard and a mouse click, plus clicking to target.

Are you asking to precast a skill so you have zero cast time? If so = NO
If you want to set any skill to autocast...= YES (limited to the #1 slot but you can add any/all skills to that slot) ((except the ones you can't :P)) ie: elite skills & self heals

any normal skill can be set to auto cast, but only 1.
there will always be "clicking" or "pressing"...wtf else would we do...except dodge?

Perhaps he means keybindings for the mouse. This is a thing which I was thinking about too. First thing is the lack of any option to keybind your 1-0 keys into different bindings and second thing, which is a bit more complicated, is the fact that you first have to press AoE effects, then click on the ground to activate them. Beyond my comprehension you have to press your button on the ground and the spell gets instantly activated, so that you can react faster in PvP for example.

I hope ArenaNet will make these two options available in the future.

If that is what he is asking, then sure, if you have the hardware. (naga by razor for an example) That software/hardware binds the keyboard and mouse to the same keys, ...nothing to do with the game at all.

I think he's asking if you can, for example, bind skill 1 to left click, skill 2 to right click, etc.

I believe he's talking about rebinding skill keys to the mouse itself. Whilst I have no quote or proof of it, it would be extremely strange and short-sighted of Anet not to provide such a feature, so worry not :)

Yeah, this is what a gleaned from the OP as well. Seems like a rather odd suggestion when it is already implemented for AOE skills and doing it for all them would turn skill activation into a convoluted system.

Sorry, this is not diablo.
You need the left click to select targets and the right click to pan your camera view like every other MMOs.

You have it right on the money^ I don't mean to add it to every skill, just the ones that don't seem to have a cool down time, or a very limited cool down time. I played this MMO a couple of years ago called RYL and they seemed to have it down in a way that was preferable and easy to use. Now, obviously this isn't RYL, but I still think it could do some good if you could at least have this option for some skills.

After you click most skills (ground-targeted ones), when you click your mouse it activates because you have to place it.

Otherwise...dunno, the others activate right after.

Hmmm, well, I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with what I get lol. I'm not too nitpicky, but it is something that I personally would like to see.

Ohh you mean the way it was in GW1! Sorry, that wasn't clear ;-)! I don't think it'll be the same way, not from seeing the beta clips anyway. And rightfully so since the combat is a lot more dynamic than it was in GW1.
