credit card issues (not valid???)

I entered in my CC details (belgium, visa, security code etc) but I keep getting the message
"the credit card information you entered was invalid"
Strange, this is an existing card, no issues there. Anyone else seen/heard of a similar issue?
Rather not use paypal, so wanted to be able to use my normal CC.

I'm going to try calling my bank to see what's up.

Finally, however, using my smartphone and the internet on my college's campus, I tried one more time, and the card went through. I have no idea what was wrong, but my only advice is to try on a different browser (I used Dolphin on my android), or a different internet connection.

but I suspect there are maybe 2 separate issues at play here.
1. bank "blocking" approval due to "unusual" credit card actions (eg I am currently in nederlands, so bank might suspect fraud). I can test this on friday when I return home and try direct from normal connection).
2. error in the transmit/receive of information to anet. not sure how to test this barring trying a new network.

I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one dealing with this... I'll try using my smartphone and see if that works... I did try contacting anet, just waiting to hear back..

I really hope we hear something. There is no way I'm getting this from GameStop.

First, NCSoft blocked my CC transactions when they looked suspicous (i.e. if you try to buy with the same CC too quickly it can be flagged). This can cause you to get an invalid CC. If you then try to purchase the product multiple times while still getting the invalid CC, your bank can put you on a watch list. That means that any time you make a large purchase (something over $10 for me) I would be rejected by the bank.
Solution for me:
I never could get a hold a representative to give me help from NCSoft. I got an email from them around Noon on the 10th asking for more details, but they never got back to me after that.
I contacted my CC company multiple times, it required me specifically asking them if they were blocking me and for me to get in touch with their card services to finally get the restriction lifted.
Although I hate to admit it, I just purchased the game from Gamestop online since they were not causing me any trouble.

I figure it will go through but all other online charges go through quickly.

as the above user posted.. i got it to work
I used my samsung galaxy tab over its 3g connection (not wifi) and used the dolphin browser and it worked
this was after it failing on my ipad/iphone and my windows desktop computer..
so if you have an android device or a friend with one.. hop on the dolphin browser and go pre purchase!

Kinda answering my own question. But thought those out there with the same issue might like to know.
I was able to pre-purchase from my "normal" PC location. ie bank appears to be a "fraud" control on any internet purchases that were outside my "regular activities". So the transaction would not complete.
I was able to pre-purchase as normal from my Home PC. So those of you with similar problems, suggest that you call your CC company to verify the purchase is not fraud and can go ahead.

I am having the same problem
Called my bank more than once they confirmed no problem with my Credit Card and it's all active and nothing blocked
but still whenever i try pre-purchase GW 2 Digital edition i get this error
The credit card information you entered was invalid. Please try again
I tried different browser, Firefox, Chrome, iPad and changed internet connection
it's really annoying

Made an account to reply. I had the same issue as an earlier poster who is living in the Netherlands but is using a bank account based in Belgium. I'm an American with an American bank account buying the game from South Korea. When I first got to the screen to purchase the game, my country of residence was defaulted to South Korea. I changed it to the 'States and filled out the rest as normal, before getting the error.
But I just tried changing the country to South Korea, but filling out the rest of the information exactly as I would in America, with an American street address, an American postal code, etc. It worked, and I have my CD key! Hope that helps.
