No one posted a link yet, so here it is.

Warriors confirmed, 10-skill bar, other neat tidbits.

10 Slot skill bars..."The first five skills on the skill bar are not slotted directly by the player; instead they are determined by the player's choice of weapon and profession. "

This has my curiosity up quite a bit, this would mean as I swap out my weapon five of my skills change on the fly?

oh BTW, warrior confirmed as a profession, they should just show the picture already.

Does anyone else read it that we don't get to choose the first 5 skills? or is it only spots for skill of that weapon and we do get to choose them? If we don't get to choose them, are they random or only 5 for each weapon/profession combo?

Yes .

Does this mean we get to change out the other 5 skill on the fly as well?

The 5 skills are locked depending on Weapon. Example (with 2 skills instead of 5, too hard to think of 5 skills); You equip a Hammer? Get Crushing Blow & Flail. You equip an Axe? You get Frenzy & Dismember. Stuff like that.

And we'll probably get to change those other 5,... At a lot of times, yeh.

I think it means that the first 5 change depending on your weapon and profession and race and other specifics that make up your character.

I read the same thing. The first(?) 5 skills are bound to the weapon you wield - if you are a Warrior (they're confirmed, yes!). Another skill slot is reserved for healing, the next for elite skills and the other 3 is up to you to decide.

mmkay, the next question is... do we have any control over those? Are the first five default for each weapon? For example... every sword-war automatically gets uhhh... eviscerate, gryphon's sweep, final thrust, and whatever else and can't change it? Or can we pre-set up which skills are in our sword build and just have them pop in to our bar whenever we equip a sword?

But wait. Only 5 slots are decided directly by the player (the other 5 are standarized based on weapons and profession). True, you can switch out weapons, so you aren't stuck with those 5, but they are preset.

EDIT: Actually, these 5 are based on weapons and profession, so maybe not all 5 will switch out. Worth noting.

Now, out of the 5 you get to choose: One is dedicated to healing. (Rez sig?) And one is an Elite slot.

So, you really only have 3 slots you have total control over. Am I the only one worried about this?

From their wording, I conclude the first situation, not the second (Btw. Eviscerate is an Axe elite, has nothing to do with Sword :p).

no, no you are not. Only 4 skills to play with? Hm.... not so sure I like the sound of that...

From the article, it seems like there will be less versatility, not more.

Why would they mandate a self heal?

Well although you have less skills half the skills to play with... they act in different ways depending on what your doing? Well I think that was mentioned in there? Or am I confusing it with something else?

What if...

the predetermined weapon skills are in fact determined by your weapon?

Maybe you can get a sword pommel that grants Galrath Slash in slot 2, or a hilt that gives Sever Artery in slot 3. That would be intriguing, a way to provide more item flexibility while still preserving GW's light approach to gear.
