And I hope we wouldn't have to keep downloading the client for the other BWEs after this first one and just have little updates and such. :D It would make it so much easier.

Yeah, I see the account page. It says "Download Client" to one side, so I naturally thought: 'oooh'. I clicked on it and it said pre-purchase Guild Wars 2 now, so clearly there are still a few things to work out considering I already pre-purchased :p Serves me right for going on before being officially invited to :p

That's because they don't want people to download it yet. It's just a placeholder.

it's been a long journey my brethren, from waking up at 5:00 am to watch the release of the first Guild Wars 2 trailer, to speculating about Guild Wars 2 classes and missions on these forums when they first went live, to driving down to San Diego to play the GW2 demo at Comic-Con. All of this is finally paying off.

If i want to pre-purchase 2 digital copies so that i can gift 1 to a friend, would i just make 2 separate transactions?  If so, would they send me both codes to the same email address or would i need to use a different email address for each transaction?

Well I had my code sent to my email address that I choose to send it to.

After that I could use the code to create a account, I would then had to type in the email address that I wanted to register that account to. Seems like if you buy it your just buying the code, which is not linked to any email address.

Buy one, make it for yourself to make sure that you have to register your own email. Then buy the other, once you know it works and give the code to your friend.

These sites are not set up for general use right now, so don't worry about it if something looks weird.  (For example, can't download the client yet even though there's a 'Download Client' section on the account page, and some people aren't able to accept the Code of Conduct on the forum.)

It would be advantageous to give people with slower connections plenty of time to DL the client so that when the servers go live, they won't be left behind

Yeah. I believe it's 12 pm PDT on Friday.
